New to Multiboxing, and I've confused myself!

I've just "started" 5 boxing (mostly due to the £4 offer on the WoW battle chest).

I'm currently setting up my keymaps etc.

I have a Cyborg MMO 7 and a Logitech G13 and a Logitech G15;

And i think with so much Keymapping, Mapped Keys, and Keybindings I've just over confused myself.

Anyway here's my confusion:

If (in accordance with MaRai's very good Interact With Target 101) I set "G" to Interact with target.

Then I set Alt + G to send G to All windows without current sending the "G" keystroke (allowing me to still type while not causing IWT to trigger on my slaves).

In otherwords can i have Alt + G as a keybind to a spell within WoW and not have it respond when I have my slaves interact with target?

Or do i have to chose another Hotkey other than Alt + G to one of the functions?

Just for reference; this is to prevent me needing to resetup Bartender so that i can enable boosting with my hunter; Otherwise I'm going to be stuck with 5 boxing leveling instead.

I think you want only one thing on Alt+G within Warcraft.

The hot key you press in IS Boxer and what is output to the game can be entirely different.
But you (usually) only want one ability on a given hot key within IS Boxer.
And you definitely only want one ability on a given hot key within Warcraft.

You can have Alt+G do something in Warcraft.
And use Alt+G as a hot key for a Mapped Key in IS Boxer.

When you push Alt+G, IS Boxer outputs G to the other windows.
Warcraft is not receiving an Alt+G, so there shouldn't be a conflict.
However, if you disable Key Maps (which I do, to type in /guild or whatever) and you push Alt+G... without Keymaps on, Warcraft will receive Alt+G.

You have two basic toggles, which results in four states.
Repeater Off & Keymaps Off... Doing something on one account only... like chatting.
Repeater Off & Keymaps On... 99% of your boxing uses this setup.
Repeater On & Keymaps Off... Entering passwords to log in, or having everyone /dance etc...
Repeater On & Keymaps On... Clicking something the same on all accounts, where you're not using the Keyboard so don't need to disable Key Maps to avoid conflicts.
(Repeater is sometimes referred to as Broadcast or Broadcasting)

That's great.

Thanks.

I've spent about 4 days trying to just work out how everything is going to work together.... It's been really confusing!

I'm in the same boat too, it's been hard but I'm now seeing all the pieces coming together and have tanked my first full dungeon today, in SFK on my level 20 druids. Really good fun!
