Lazy person question

So I got bored playing Rift after maxing out 2 5-man teams and I'm looking at Lotro again. I started googling and then realized my google-fu just wasn't hot tonight.

I'm setting up my rotations and trying to set up my timings and quickly learned that apparently Lotro doesn't use a global cooldown, but uses animations and queuing somehow? Anyone know how to time when a used skill will be done?

Re: Lazy person question

It is mostly trial and error, you can go to Archet in Bree and beat up on training dummy to time your rotations. As a rule of thumb I add 1 sec to whatever cast time the spell has, or 2 secs flat for a melee skill, and then adjust. There are some guides on the net that expain all those inception/execution/animations, but I found them useless as each spell appear to have its own segments, and there is no generic GCD like in other games. Due to forced non-cancellable ability queueing, you need to make sure that your rotations hit the spell only once, then you force your rotation to wait a desired time interval, then move on to next spell, etc. - so timing is very important. Otherwise, your spells will just be overwritten by next in queue, or same spell will fire twice if you multi-click it. It's kinda like creating a dance where you plan and time each step to perfection. :)

Lotro is perfectly boxable once you get your rotations right, I run Guardian, Mini, LM + 3 Hunters, driving from Guardian as the class requires some manual responses to block/parry. Hunters are super easy to box and do great damage too.
