Mouse Zones , standard overlay, and using 2 different class'

I use a G15 Keyboard, a G13 Keypad and a G3 mouse, and set as admin, they all work in the game.

So I am a clicker! But I set things up as the LOTRO ISBoxer 41 video. IT would be nice if there
was a 2nd video for clickers, instead of just saying if your a clicker, use menus, and later use
the pro menu's.

Image

As per the photo, I stack 4 bars high, with the bottom being standard number keys, the 2nd stack
the CTRL # Keys, the 3rd Stack, the Alt # keys, and the 4th is shift, which I only use with the
mouse. I have a G13 zone on my keys outlined in blue, and the same control zone on all my toons.

The g13-g12 is my main key, and it relates to the game as Ctrl 8.

From the video, I have the 1 x 12 grid (1,1 - 34x34) which lays over 1 stack. I tried a 3x12
grid, but there is that stupid space between stack 1 and 2 (Red in the photo).

So do I need to define more 1x12 grids, like for ctrl and for alt keys, or do I define a zone. I
dont want to move things up, to use the ctrl, alt, and shift stacks, as after 7 years, I am pretty
used to what I have without looking. And I dont want to change it on 20 or so toons I play at
differnt times.

Also, I want to play my 85 champ and mini, but the mini uses more of the alt keys for songs, while
those are aoe keys on my champ. I am hoping for a way to use the G3 key on my g13, and have it use
Alt 6 on the mini, but Ctrl 8 on my champ. If this is possible, can I have the setup for just that,
and I should be able to fix the others, once I have one working.

Trying hard to read and watch everything, and still get play time in.
Thanks

To get rid of that maybe you try another skin for your user interface in LOTRO for example My Mini UI (it's not mine, it is just named like that)

I assume that you did run the Quick Setup Wizard and used the standard settings for the MMO - Standard Hotkeys or in other words: transparent overlay aka Menus.
Then it would be the best to watch this video: ISBoxer 41 Menu Primer - Round robin, Character Set overrides, Extra Action Bar Menus

It is packed with many different things so please do not feel frustrated if you do not understand some things the first time.

First some basics:

A Menu Template defines how your Menu is displayed, how many buttons, which size, how many pixels between two buttons, color, opacity, etc.
"Standard" is a normal 12 button bar as used in many mmo's.

A Button Set defines what Actions ISBoxer should perform if that button is clicked/pressed.
"Standard Broadcast" is simply a repeater for that button, say you click on button 1 ISBoxer then sends the keystroke "1" to all your gameclients.

A Hotkey Set defines what button in the Menu a press on a Hotkey should perform.
"Standard" binds 1 to = to all 12 buttons.

And finally, a Menu is the combination of all those features.

So let's see what you want and at what part of the video it gives some useful information:

You want 3 more Menus to cover all your Ctrl, Alt and Shift actionbars
This is explained in detail in the video starting from minute 2:50. It is a tedious procedure to copy and change all the buttons and hotkeys but you only have to do this once.

You want a different Hotkey so that pressing G13-G12 on your G13 performs the button that corresponds to Ctrl+8
In the video starting from minute 4:10 you get an idea of how to change a Hotkey for a specific button.

Supposed you added those 3 new Menus as in step 1, click now in ISBoxer in the upper left on your new Ctrl-Actionbar. In the lower left under Hotkey Sets now choose the one you made for Ctrl and in the bottom middle pane click on the < next to 4 and change the Hotkey in the dropdown box to your G13-G8, 5 to G13-G9, ... and 10 to G13-G14.

Example: If you press G13-G12 ISBoxer now link that to the button 8 in that Actionbar Ctrl.
In the same way add the G1 to G7 buttons to your Alt Menu and to the normal Number/Standard all the remaining G-keys.

You want different Actions takes for different Characters, G13 on your G3 perform Alt+6 on your Minstrel but Ctrl+8 on the Champion.
Some impression on how this works is seen in the video at minute 3:45.
To keep this simple i assume that instead of using the G13 on your G3 i explain it for the G13-G12 as you refered as your main key which you added in your Ctrl-Actionbar.

So in ISBoxer click in the upper left on your new Ctrl-Actionbar. In the lower left under Button Sets now choose the one you made for Ctrl.

In the bottom middle pane you see Button 8 with one Action Keystroke 8 to All.

Change the Target to your Minstrel for example "Character:Minni" and then change the Key Combination to Alt+6.

Now rightclick on "Button 8" and under Keystroke Actions choose "New Keystroke Action".

Change the Target to your Champion for example "Character:Champy" and then change the Key Combination to Ctrl+8.

I really hope this is understandable.

Thanks for all the work in that post, got all my toolbars up and working, and tried them on some 65's and 85's and they still work.

I am starting to understand more of isboxer now, and with this setup, can switch from server to server and go.

Its so much better when things just work, and you can get back to the game.

Thanks again
