Re: XP Pro SP3 / ISBoxer / LOTRO no longer a working combo?

Hi Lax,

Still waiting patiently here for a chance to get back into multi-boxing LOTRO!

Since builds 5777 & 5778, LOTRO still crashes similarly, it appears there hasn't been much progress (on this issue).

It's been over two weeks since the last news on this, and over three weeks since being reported. It's understandable that this is not a high priority. But what should be the customer's expectation please?

Thank you!

I have no shortage of things to work on, that's for sure. Most of the time issues like this one will take hours of research to narrow down, and I have to split it up and come back to it on multiple occasions in order to remain sane. For the last few weeks, real life has been taking up a lot of extra time as well, and I'm finally getting back to a somewhat regular schedule. That's really about all I can say on this one

Lax,

TY for the reply. I know that there are plenty of other issues on top of all your other RL issues to deal with as well. Like I said, it's only about gaming... not terribly important. But it's good to hear an update from time to time.

I'll eventually have to upgrade to WIn 7 later this year. But in the meantime, I look forward to testing your LOTRO fix for Win XP Pro soon.

Thanks again!

Hi Lax,

Did you get my e-mail?

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day, with no LOTRO or much Turbine games online for 24 hours! Let's hope Turbine doesn't break anything else while they implement their billing enhancements.
Woops, looks like Turbine's maintenance may run past 24 hours now- booo! (based on their Tweets)

Happy Lunar New Year too!

This took many additional hours to track down since my last post, and then hours more to produce a working solution once I finally discovered what the actual problem was...
but...
as of Inner Space build 5789, now the development build, this bug is fixed. LOTRO is working again on Windows XP.

So far, testing with Windows XP Pro looks good! I'm having to get re-acquainted with all the shortcuts again! It's a nice problem to have! Thank you again, Lax!

Re: XP Pro SP3 / ISBoxer / LOTRO no longer a working combo?

XP Pro / ISBoxer / LOTRO combo continues to run well. I've noticed that the "fix"is now incorporated in the normal build release (5794). We can safely deselect the option "Download development (test) patches" now?

Thanks again, Lax!
