EVE Incursion patch mouse broadcasting workaround

There is a known issue with the new EVE patch, where mouse broadcasting appears sluggish and misses clicks. This issue can be worked around. In the in-game options panel, change the game to Full Screen mode instead of Windowed. ISBoxer will enforce windowed mode anyway, and this happens to fix mouse broadcasting.

Re: EVE Incursion patch mouse broadcasting workaround

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

This is now fixed.

As of this post, ISBoxer version 38.3.426.1 is now available, and fixes mouse broadcasting performance in windowed mode. You can tell what version you have in the About window through the Help menu in ISBoxer (and upgrade from there as well)

Additionally, Inner Space build 5431 fixes the fake cursor not appearing in EVE Online while mouse broadcasting! Build 5431 is now live. Just re-launch Inner Space and let it patch up to this version or later. You can tell what version you have by hovering your cursor over the IS icon in the system tray.

Re: EVE Incursion patch mouse broadcasting workaround

Does this mean it is better to set the game to windowed/fixed windowed mode oppose to fullscreen?

Should we expect a performance difference between the 3 settings? (windowed, fixed windowed, and fullscreen)

Thank you.

All 3 of these modes should work fine. I'm not sure which it would be "better" to use, I would expect the best behavior out of standard windowed mode.

I would not expect a significant difference in performance between the 3 settings. However, the game will definitely behave slightly differently in each mode, by design of the game. For example, when DirectX games are put into full screen mode, they believe they have an exclusive lock on the video card, and may use different parts of DirectX or the Windows API as a result (sometimes resulting in bugs like the one discussed in this thread, which was fixed a month ago). Regardless of which setting you put it on, if you use a Window Layout the game is probably not going to be windowed how it expects.

My EVE windows are all set to Window Mode. You can try all 3 modes if you want, just re-launch the game after changing it.
