How does everyone else manage rocks while mining?

How does everyone manage what rock they are mining? I'm not sure what the best method to do is and was wondering what everyone else prefers.

I am working on a video tutorial on the method I use, in short it's with a repeater region.

In 0.0 its pretty much not needet

with the survey scanner its easy to sort by type 2 chars per type 1 for the large ones 1 for the small ones
also possible to use tags and tag all roids its a hassel but 100% reliable

i use a combination per button i can switch betwenn survey scanner and overview easy to use with a video fx action
i switch if the numbers of roids is to small to use the survey scanner
