Character Set Fail to Launch (exefile.exe stops responding)

I will press launch and I only get to 9-10 of 16 launched. I know my computer can handle more as I just launched 64 versions of eve at the login screen with another 20 out at a POS. I have 64GB of memory and 4x 290X in crossfire. The CPU is a hex core I7 and runs at ~10-20%load. I am running 5x 1080x2550 monitors in eyefinity so its one giant screen of 5400x1080.

Eve normally launches without ISBoxer in the middle of my screen on monitor #3 and is 1024x768. I ran ISBoxer this morning and it inherited these properties no problems and put all the clients into the same profile of 1024x768 in window mode. Later in the day I messed around with a window layout and problems ensued. I can no longer launch them all. I get to client 9-11 some where on one of those the exefile dies and I get a popup from windows saying so. Then no more clients are launched and I can not just launch a slot either. If I keep the 8 open and try and launch EVE from outside ISBoxer it will not launch either. Once I close all clients ISBoxer opened, I can again launch as many clients using the exefile.exe or the launcher as I want. This is where I tested it to 84 clients. Even though I deleted the window layout created, its still using whatever the window layout was and not what eve wants. I launch it without ISBoxer and it uses 1024x768 windowed and middle of the screen. I cleared the cache for EVE to no success.

So I am at a loss and pretty much stuck hating ISBoxer, which I know I should not. Anyone have any ideas on getting past this?

If there's a crash report, then Lax would likely need to see the crash report, but you can also monitor what your hardware is doing:

Crossfire doesn't work in Windowed mode, so you're likely trying to launch all of your clients from the main GPU, but I'm unsure of how Eyefinity affects this.

Hardware monitor shows its all running through one GPU. However it also shows when I opened 84 clients it went to one GPU as well... I get that ISBoxer will add to the resource usage, but can it really be that much that 10 clients is too much?

To my understanding, eyefinity makes a virtual desktop, of the given size, and then slices it and sends one slice to each monitor.

I wouldn't say that it "adds" to the resource usage, it's just that people usually don't do a direct 1:1 comparison when launching their clients outside of Inner Space.

That usually comes down to your video settings and FPS.

It seems that forcing Dx9 worked from one of the other posts lax was troubleshooting. Why does DX9 work and 11 not?
