Eve client windows seem to "lock up"

just discovered this when practicing flying around 4 guardians in fleet...

the first few days i have had no issues.
but today i did have 2 instances where either the main window client, or one or two of the secondary client windows just appear to stop entierly. of course i cant do anything to those clients after due to them being unresponsive.

ofc i tried a nice fresh restart of the pc etc, but at the moment the problem appears to persist...

im currently running 6 clients. with 4 clients (3 including main) recieving the mouse and keyboard broadcasts etc. with the other two simply running the cyno scouts indipentantly.

if anybody had had this issue and knows how i can fix it do please share :)..

Regards
Drok

Edit: this is with TS3 also running if that makes a difference.

Re: Eve client windows seem to "lock up"

So far there hasnt been any responce so i investigated further.
I have tried to run all 8 of my clients to no success.. random clients are still locking up and becoming unesponsive.. they are giving no messages of any kind relating to any errors.
even running 2 clients. (thinking it may be something to do with my RAM) gave the same results.

Playing with the settings available in the cpu wizard yielded no differences. and using other window layouts also had no change.
so at the moment im still unable to use isboxer for more than a very short preiod of time (sometimes none at all)

I have followed the instructions relating to pasting logs.. and here is the link.
http://privatepaste.com/0b253e7ed3

Please help guys.. its rather frustrating. :(

Re: Eve client windows seem to "lock up"

Dunno anything about eve, but there are a couple programs I'd unload to see if it makes a difference:

956 E:\Games\Impulse\Now\ImpulseNow.exe 1.1.1.2 GameStop Corp.
3228 C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe 10.6.0.40 Apple Inc.
3888 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil11f_ActiveX.exe 11.1.102.62 Adobe Systems, Inc.

Second, download Memtest86+ and run it for a while (2 passes at a minimum.) http://www.memtest.org/#downiso Fix any memory errors that show up.

Third, try different graphics drivers. The driver you are running may be sensitive to multiple clients. I'd start with the latest version and see if it behaves the same.

Folllowing the stages above made no difference. the memory test resulted in no errors.
Launching the clients resulted in the lock up of slot 1 about 2 minutes after launch. then slot 5 locked about 30 seconds afterwards.
I need to find out whats causing this. im consoidering buying a larger memory pachage but theres no point if it isnt surely likely to solve the problem.

Re: Eve client windows seem to "lock up"

I just did an update to ISBoxer, version 40.1.0325.1 implements "Diagnostics for game freezes" in the Help menu (although this appeared in a few earlier versions, clicking it does nothing except in 40.1.0325.1 or later). You can update to this version through Help -> About ISBoxer Toolkit.

So what you will need to do is, once it freezes up, use this new "Diagnostics for game freezes" option. You will need to pick the frozen game instance from a drop-down box -- if it helps, you can close the ones that aren't frozen. Then click the "Generate Diagnostic report, and Save it to File" button and pick where to save it. The name is not that important, but it should be saved as something.dmp, like "my frozen eve.dmp" or whatever. The file will not be incredibly big, but you won't be able to just paste it in here. E-mail the dmp file to lax@lavishsoft.com. (You can alternatively use www.privatepaste.com and click the "Upload" button, then give me the paste ID or URL after uploading it.)

Re: Eve client windows seem to "lock up"

Ok followed all above instructions as we talked about. and tried fully updating all my graphic drivers in case that may have been the cause.
Still having the issue. so will have to stop using it for flying my pvp ships and miners for now.
I sent you the diagnostic files as requested aswell..
If you need any others etc feel free to ask and ill get them to you.

This issue has been resolved.
After a few months of delving into it with one of the CCP devs the problem was linked to another issue with Blue.DLL and one or two related modules.
it was causing random clients to crash at random intervals when on a station or a gate.
it appears the problem is fixed i have not crashed for a long time now.
