How to set this up?

I have watched a tutorial video or two and flipped through these forums, but I'm just not finding a basic setup guide for Inner Space and ISBoxer for Eve Online. The best tutorial I found (the one by SeraphinFoad - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HA88ndjh8x4) seems to start in the middle of things. Is this just my impression? Is there a step-by-step guide out there - from the moment you've downloaded Inner Space and ISboxer on forward?

I currently have two monitors side-by-side. They are slightly different sizes. I have been running two different Eve clients (launched from different folders) on each monitor - 3 accounts on the left, 3 on the right. I've gotten very good at flipping back and forth between them, but I think ISboxer would be safer and more efficient.

On the left screen, I want to have three accounts doing basically the same thing, in the same system, at the same time. I already have roughly the same skills and ships on each account. I'd be perfectly comfortable having two of the accounts mirror the other one, or setting up one of these black screen things I saw in the tutorial. Basically, this should be a ratting setup.

On the right side, I'd like to continue with things the way they were before - or possibly have two other clients scanning on one window, with a dictor in another window.

So, is there a really basic guide out there? Any help would be appreciated.

If you're looking to create a layout like SeraphinFoad, then you'll want to start with Video FX:

Seraphin Foad assumes you've started with the EVE Quick Start Guide so you have a background on wtf you're doing. http://isboxer.com/wiki/EVE:Quick_Start_Guide You should have done this the moment you downloaded ISBoxer ;)

Okay, I did that, but I found the quick start guide pretty bare bones. Maybe I am making this more complicated than it has to be, but the Eve Quick Start Guide seems to jump over some of the options in the setup. I swear I am not an idiot or completely tech illiterate.

A couple of other questions... Does it matter how my Eve Clients are set up? e.g. - I traditionally play in windowed mode. Will this have any effect as I try to set up ISboxer?

Anyway, I will go through it again from the beginning and see what happens.

Which options? The initial setup really is pretty basic, and there are certainly some options that you don't need as much as an EVE player. For example, you don't usually have to set up a lot of Hotkeys because the game is pretty well mouse-driven.

For most EVE players to get started, all they need to do is use the Quick Start Guide, log in and use Broadcasting Mode. The next question I usually get is how to split up the broadcasting so that they can broadcast to their miners without affecting their hauler, which is answered in the FAQ in the EVE section with this link: http://isboxer.com/wiki/HOWTO:Broadcast_to_specific_sets_of_windows (this should probably be linked from the EVE Quick Start Guide as well, so I'll be adding that...).

So far that's pretty basic and covers 98% of EVE setup questions.

Another 1% involves Video FX and dxNothing, as in Seraphin Foad's video as well as Shadowandlight's videos. Slightly more advanced, but gets you better visibility and interaction with the other game windows.

That's it for nearly all EVE players as far as ISBoxer configuration goes.

Other questions are usually like "how do I target the same thing in order to attack (etc)"? For which there are two answers -- one is the Overview window, which is usually slightly lacking in accuracy because the Overview window may not be identical in all windows (something may be closer to one ship than another, etc); the other is to use EVE's Fleet window to broadcast your main window's Target to the others, then click on the broadcasted target in all of the windows at the same time, which gives you guaranteed accuracy.
