2 screens 3 characters

Hey Guys,

I have 2 screens 1 is 1920 x 1080 and the other is 1680 x 1050.

i would like to put my main toon on the 1920 x 1080.
1 would like to put the other 2 toons on the 1680 x 1050 giving them 840x1050 each.

I can set this up easy but the problem arises when i want to set up a repeat mouse to all windows when i use scale to fit the mouse cursor is not the same on all screens.?
I like to have the 2 toons repping my main or sometimes i want to warp all toons to the same gate etc..

Cheers

The problem is because you're literally having them different resolutions (AND aspect ratio), instead of letting ISBoxer keep them all in the same resolution and just display them smaller. The reason the layout you're describing is not available by default, is because by rendering the full 1680x1050 at 840x1050 (Instant Swapping ON), you're going to have a tall and skinny display with completely unreadable text because it's squashed, or chopping the resolution to only 840x1050 (Instant Swapping OFF) it no longer matches the size or aspect ratio of the main region and you give up Mouse Broadcasting.

You can have the two smaller windows broadcast only between themselves (FAQ: How do I broadcast only to certain windows, and leave out others?) but good luck being able to warp all 3 at the same time if they're not even in the same resolution or aspect ratio.

If they were in the same aspect ratio, then the option you found in your Repeater Profile (select it in the top left pane) called Cursor positioning mode, set to "Scaled to fit", might be enough of a kludge to make it work. However, this is definitely not going to work as desired when they're not the same aspect ratio.

I would be re-thinking your Window Layout strategy at this point. Sorry the answer isn't as fun as you probably wanted. :)

Re: 2 screens 3 characters

I would set it such that all 3 characters are on Screen 1 and set up a DXnothing window on your smaller screen with key pieces of information and passthroughs for the two clients you won't generally have in view. This isn't ideal, I know, but it should at least get you started. The longer you use it the easier it'll be to get comfortable using the dxnothing window for all your vital information.
