Eve freeze when loading game

Hi!

Recently (last 2-3 weeks) I have been unable to use ISBoxer and Eve (still works fine with Diablo 3)
It freezes after I click which character to log in when showing the message "Entering game as <character>". The sound also starts looping.
Eve works perfectly fine outside of isboxer, even with multiple clients at the same time.

Things I have tried: Cleared cache and reset all settings in Eve
Cleared config in ISBoxer and created a minimal 2 char config
Disabled antivirus protection (Kapersky Anti-Virus 13.0.1.4190)

hi i had the same problem after resetting my eve game settings to default. it took me over an hour to figure out i had to delete the virtual files which seem to persist mysteriously though complete uninstall and reinstall of innerspace/isboxer

here's how to fix it (atleast this fixed it for me):

open isboxer
click on virtual files and delete the virtual file (mine was called something yaml)
click on each 'Characters' and click through each character, deleting the virtual file from the bottom tree.

I would not suggest this as having the settings files virtualized is useful. It sounds to me like you probably just needed to reset the actual contents of the files. The actual files are on your hard drive in the same folder as the original files, and deleting the per-Character ones will allow you to reset their settings without removing the virtualization.

useful? not so useful if you cant even log into the game!

but it is nice to see such a quick 'smack down' reply as soon as solution is provided, while the original post has been up for over a month with no reply </sarcasm>

Thanks for the quick criticism, and thank you for providing a response on the thread where you saw a need, but you can try and read what I said... Please don't take my further information to your solution as a personal attack, I am just steering the thread in the right direction...

Having the files virtualized is not what prevented you from logging in, the contents of the files happened to. What you did is having the same effect as resetting your eve setting files to be the same as the non-virtualized file.

You can also do this by deleting the character-specific EVE setting files, which is what I would (and did) recommend instead in this case.
