Login names mixed up

I'm not sure what I've done, but whenever I launch a character set the usernames seem to be going to the wrong windows, and I'm having to manually change them.
On the "Characters" drop down, all of the characters seem to have the right usernames/account names, but it still brings up the wrong one when the window launches EQ.

Any way to fix this?

Re: Login names mixed up

It's probably easiest to just leave that field blank in ISBoxer and let the virtual files manage your logins. However, if you've been manually creating characters without the Wizard (or copying existing characters and renaming them) and not adding/changing which virtual file they're using, then the logins will be mixed up regardless.

It might help for you to share your profile.

I'll try leaving the fields blank.
If I recreate all the characters, would it mess up the key maps I've set for the character set?

Re: Login names mixed up

Not necessarily.

If you recreate you character set via the Quick Setup Wizard, and you get a message which looks like the below:

Choose the third option.

/e: Characters 1, 2 and 6 (I can't tell who they are, but this is the names in the pasted profile) don't have virtual files associated, so when they load, they will use the default EQ ini files, which will end up storing the last used account details, so you will essentially have the previously logged in character details. You can fix this by running the Virtual File Wizard, selecting Everquest as your game, and then selecting all your characters (or those missing the virtual files), and then they will all have their own copies, and thus remember their last login info correctly.

Re: Login names mixed up

When I recreated my characters in isboxer now my main one won't launch properly. All 6 slots launch, but the first screen won't actually show, when I hover over it on my windows taskbar, it shows a blank white screen with the slot name at the top.

Also, when I get the box that says "A configuration file needs to be updated" and "*Game has the wrong Account Name for Character" should I have isboxer make the changes for me or no?

Re: Login names mixed up

For the former, I am not sure.

You could try deleting the EQclient-CHARNAME.ini and eqlsplayerdata-CHARNAME.ini files in your EQ folder.

For the second, yes, I'd let ISBoxer fix it. It is either incorrect in your ini files because they have been copied from the default ini files and so do not match your different accounts because the default files only have the last account used in them, and your ISBoxer setup will have multiple accounts, or your ISboxer configuration is indicating you should be logging in the accounts in a different order to what you are.
