Video resolution switch with a new monitor

I know this doesn't have anything to do with ISB directly, but was hoping someone here had an answer to my question....

I've been playing on the same monitor for 10 years, at 1600 x 1200 (old 4:3 format). I just got a new monitor which is running at 1920 x 1080. It's now the main display, with the old 1600 x 1200 as the secondary monitor.

When I started EQ on the new monitor, I tried using the "Options" button on the first screen (the one where you can choose login, account, EQ live webpage, etc. The box it brings up only offers me resolutions which are all the 4:3 ratio. So I skipped that and logged in to the game. Once in, I brought up the options window, selected the display tab, and brought up the resolutions. This did offer some 16:9 ratio choices, but the largest of these was 1280 x 720.

So, how do you get to the bigger 16:9 resolutions? Can I just manually edit my "ini" files, and type 1920 x 1080 there?

Thanks,

Tat

PS - Apparently it IS an ISB issue. When I launch EQ through the launcher, it immediately defaults to 1920 x 1080. Even after doing that, then going in with ISB still comes up with old resolutions!

Re: Video resolution switch with a new monitor

You need to recreate your Window Layout that is in use by ISBoxer. You can do this in the Window Layout Wizards (from the Wizards menu). ISBoxer only detects monitor sizes, and thus sets the appropriate dimensions for the regions (the windows it puts the games in) during a Window Layout creation.

Don't select your existing window layout from the drop down either, this will defeat the purpose.
