New Progression server - Phinigel Autropos - and ISBoxer?

There is code in place to only use 1 instance of EQ per computer, which I am perfectly fine with.

The folks at MQ2 have disabled MQ2 for this server.

Will ISBoxer be disabled from working there also? I understand it's only one instance per computer, but ISBoxer can span multiple computers.

If It is active, can one license be upgraded to work on 6 comps?

After reading up and seeing that that are not specifically calling it a No Box server as per their prior posts, but rather if you really want to box, then you will need to do it across multiple computers (and presumably the theory is you do it manually with multiple mice/keyboards).
Personally, I'd just use one of the other servers instead of going around annoying all the haters who are likely to flock there.

Gotta say, I concur with Bob. Let this server be for the folks who just go apopleptic over boxers. Boxers can still choose every other server.

If people DO try boxing there, and it becomes an issue, then they may make a move against it on all the other servers.

I agree. Leave well enough alone. The purpose is evident. Don't screw it up for the rest of us.

Even if i do understand that poeple doesnt want to massive box on the server etc. etc. and bla bla bla, many will box 1-2-3 at time which is what DGB want, no box should have been named No box army and no bot server, they allow boxing on it but wanted to reduce the amount, if ISboxer doesnt work on this server, there is 3 program to mirrior the mouse function or keyboard to others computer, but i would rather have ISboxer doing it coz ISboxer is more professionnal.

Poeple say leave this server alone you have 30000 others server ....yes and no, you wont see me on live server, i came back from retirement for TLP in 2015 loved the idea, now my guild and friend moving to Phinny server, i am forced to go play there if i want to still play with them, no fun in boxing on a server my friend and guild wont be and they wanted to move there to get ride of the massive 30 army bot, the bots and get instanced raid to progress.......they arent mad at boxer, most of them play 1-2 at time, first to help on raidtime or solo whenever they have just few mins ahead of them.

I would like to know if Lax plan to disable it or not before the launch......as i will find a work around if its going to be disabled.

The intention of DBG is fairly clear from their post, https://www.everquest.com/news/phinigel ... dec-9-2015, that if you want to box on this server then you should be doing it manually.

where you see legal tools arent accepted, keyboard with macro arent accepted ?

All you see is lots of computer on a desk exactly like my current setup.....


What Is a True Box Progression Server?

This is a server where each player will only be able to play on one EverQuest account from their computer. We want to encourage players to play with their friends on this server, and not just form groups of only their alts.

If people are truly wanting to multi-box, they’ll have to do it the old fashioned way. Phinigel is a TRUE box server, which means in order to multi-box you’ll need a set-up that looks something like this ( picture )



They didnt even mention they want it to be done manualy without any tools help. The picture only show 1 account per computer thats alls

You're not going to find any sympathy here. Deliberately pushing the envelope to be annoying is part of the reason the boxing community gets flamed.

I am not looking for sympathy or i wouldnt even come here lol, i am just asking a simple question will ISboxer work on phinigel?? I brought up my own point that i have to move on phinigel to follow my guild and friend, as a multiboxer i wanted to use ISboxer. DGB allow boxing, like always they didnt explain much else than you will need multiple computer to box if you wanted box.

You have 100% the right to think what you want or what should be done on phinigel, i am not here to debate or argue about it. No matter what poeple say or think i will simply use something else if Isboxer doesnt support phinigel, but i would like Lax
or the developper to answer to the question which is asked on multiple forum, will ISboxer be supported on phinigel NOT to bypass the 1 account per pc but to help boxers to box via some computers?

The new Phinigel server is not a no-box server though. It has been designed so that you can only play one character per computer. This was done to eliminate the mass 40 boxers controlled by ISBoxer.

I have 4 comps set up to play EQ and was thinking of adding a Laptop to the mix. With the right classes, I can box pretty effectively with five toons.

It is my understanding there will be no issues with boxers playing multiple toons at the same time from different computers.

So the question is . . . once I start playing on the server am I going to discover people using ISboxer to control single toons on different comps or not?

There is going to be no negative kickback from people boxing single groups on the sever. The server is going to be full of boxers playing 1 to 6 toons.
