I think this patch was all my doing.

I was just about to add a 7th character to my box set and thought. "Man, I wish they would remove the group restriction on auto follow".

That afternoon the notes are released.

LOL, sorry for the necro, but had to respond....

I was on a break when this patch went in, so didn't know. For the last 5 years, I've still been re-grouping, following, and un-grouping!
