Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

Was on earlier this morning, all was fine. This evening went to start my character sets and after a patch of the launcher it fails to work via isboxer. I start set, first login screen comes up, enter my info and hit login in, it looks to be doing a file check and before it gets to end launcher quits. No other toons load up via launcher either. I have had it go all the way to the end of the file check and if I am real fast i can hit play before it quits, will launch the first toon but then fails. I see no error messages. Url to private paste is at bottom of post. Game will load up fine outside of isboxer also.

I'm experiencing the same problem!! I can only access a maximum of TWO accounts concurrently. I routinely box anywhere between three to six toons, but all of the saved sets are broken. Even if I create a new character set, the third character and beyond simply times out; however, I can login to any account via the EQ Launcher. Has EQ broken direct access to eqgame.exe??

Re: Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

I've just tested and everything is working correctly on my side.

I was online a few hours ago and no problem. I saw this post, so I ran the DB/Sony launcher and it did patch. Then I tried ISBoxer again, and no problems - all normal.

There was a problem with the login servers a few hours ago (I was online, others were reporting being unable to log toons in via any method for quite a while).

It's possible that you tried during that time? Perhaps manually run the launcher again in case there's another patch and then try? Also note that there is a schedule patch in about 5.5 hours from now.

Re: Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

Just tried again this morning prior to the patch. Logged in first with regular launcher, no innerspace and worked fine. Tried it via character sets and first login patcher loads up to login screen, I log in and it goes through checking files, looks like about 80% done it hangs and closes. No error messages.
Everything had been working fine up to this latest patch to the launcher, now its not working.

Re: Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

There is nothing too obvious sticking out. The following may have always been, but this is about finding out what is going on..

I would try shutting down the Logitech SetPoint software. You appear to also have Logitech Gaming Software, which should be enough to run your mouse without SetPoint, and SetPoint has it hooks in the game.
Code:
53. C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\x86\GameHook.dll [4.80.103] [Logitech, Inc.] [Logitech Gaming Hook (UNICODE)]
54. C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\x86\lgscroll.dll [4.80.103] [Logitech, Inc.] [Logitech Scroll Enabler (UNICODE)]

The other things I would try off the bat would be
Code:
44. n52teHid.exe - Process ID: 8068 (C:\Program Files (x86)\n52te\n52teHid.exe) [Admin:NO] [x86] [1, 0, 0, 1] [Razer USA Ltd.] [razerhid MFC Application]
18. HPNetworkCommunicatorCom.exe - Process ID: 6620 (C:\Program Files\HP\HP ENVY 4500 series\Bin\HPNetworkCommunicatorCom.exe) [Admin:NO] [x64] [32.3.198.49673] [Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP] [HPNetworkCommunicatorCom]
19. hpqtra08.exe - Process ID: 7388 (C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe) [Admin:NO] [x86] [130.0.422.000] [Hewlett-Packard Co.] [HP Digital Imaging Monitor]
20. HPSupportSolutionsFrameworkService.exe - Process ID: 7704 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Solutions\HPSupportSolutionsFrameworkService.exe) [Admin:NO] [x64] [8.0.30.81] [Hewlett-Packard Company] [HP Support Solutions Framework Service]
21. hpwuschd2.exe - Process ID: 5088 (C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Software Update\hpwuschd2.exe) [Admin:NO] [x86] [80, 1, 1, 0] [Hewlett-Packard] [hpwuSchd Application]
22. HSMServiceEntry.exe - Process ID: 2744 (C:\Program Files (x86)\HTC\HTC Sync Manager\HSMServiceEntry.exe) [Admin:NO] [x86] [1, 0, 15, 0] [Nero AG] [NService Application]
25. InputDirectorSessionHelper.exe - Process ID: 4444 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Input Director\InputDirectorSessionHelper.exe) [Admin:NO] [x86] [1.2.2.0] [Input Director Session Helper]
23. IDWinService.exe - Process ID: 2720 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Input Director\IDWinService.exe) [Admin:NO] [x86]

I would also have a look at whether Windows installed any updates between working/not working. The most likely culprit would be a graphics driver update.

Re: Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

Will try the setpoint shutting down. Though nothing has changed as far as what loads that I know from what had been working earlier. Windows downloads but doesnt update anything until I say to and last video driver update from Nvidia was over the weekend and had been working fine.

Just to repeat, only difference i am aware of was Daybreak updating something with its launcher yesterday. All was fine until then.

Re: Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

Highly possible.
After some fiddling, I get a similar issue with the launcher, but if you can use the "no patch" profile, which skips it, it should be ok.

The shutdown of the launcher seems to occurring after it writes this out to the logs.
Code:
2015-08-19   12:38:29      1439984290   409   2   4797218432   Failed to get stream from plugin.

Edit:
Remvoed the other stuff. The above error seems to be the scrolling advertising on the launcher. For some reason it's not connectings, and when it gets to the end of the current timer and there is no subsequent advert, then it shuts down....

Weird stuff.

When you say no patch profile, is that a profile you have set up with a command to not patch the launcher?

Re: Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

It is usually something that InnerSpace will add to it's Everquest menu if it detects its installation. If you have to add the game yourself, then it usually wont be there, but you can Add Game yourself, and set the correct parameters for eqgame.exe as noted here
select "Add Game" from the Inner Space menu, and point it to the EverQuest client, eqgame.exe. In the Parameters box, put patchme (one word, no quotes).

Once you have a no patch profile (or something else if you have called it something else, then you would need to select each Character in ISBoxer and set the Game/Game Profile drop downs to your new profile, export, and then run your team.

Re: Sony launcher wont start game via isboxer, alone it does

Thank you for your help, figured out how to make a no patch character set, ended up making copies of my characters and setting them all to the no patch game profile, game loads all characters now and actually is a much better way to load than using the launcher, much faster. Thank you very much.
