steps in a mapped key question

hi,

im trying to make a map key, and at first i thought it wasn't working at all, come to find out out it was getting stuck at various spots:

key looks like this:

options: trigger on release
steps:
1: do assist
2: do combat:mez
3: do keymap_for_group_say

----------------------------------------

whats happening is that when i need to mez something, i spam the button, when its mezed i stop spaming the button. on next keypress, it will be at one of those 3 steps then move on to the next step, so it might cast on the current dps target rather than the new mob to mez. Is there a way around this or should i teach myself not to spam the key?

Re: steps in a mapped key question

If you select the Advanced node of the mapped key, you will see there is an option to "Reset to Step 1 after x.x seconds from the xxxxx Hotkey press".

I like to use this to reset things when I have finished my spamming.

Usually using "Reset to Step 1 after 1.0 seconds from the Last Hotkey press" works well. I tend to spam faster than that so when I've left it, it is because I want it to reset.
