Problem logging into EQ

I have a recurring problem logging into EQ using isboxer.

Periodically, a character set I've used many times to log in, will suddenly not let me log in. I get the error: Error - a time out occurred. This generally means the password is wrong. I can log in using the profile (right click on InnerSpace icon, choose game, and then game profile) with no problem. But if I try to log in using the character set, no luck.

I've fixed this in the past by deleting the character set and recreating it, but today, recreating the character set is having no effect. Anyone with any idea of 1) what's happening here, and 2) how to fix it?

"Error - a time out occurred" is also the generic DBG message for an incorrect password. Usually, it is due to typing in the password with Key Maps turned on.

I don't understand "typing in the password with Key Maps turned on.". How do you turn key mapping off for the password screen?

Shift+Alt+M to enable/disable key maps
