Issue with sound output changing

I've got an ISBoxer character set that includes 8 windows. A problem has come up, that seems specific to EQ, that maybe you guys can help with. I realize this isn't ISBoxer specific, but you guys are very knowledgeable. Thank you in advance.

All 8 load, EQ No-patch. On the 6th screen, after I log-in, as soon as I hit "Play Everquest" button, from server select, any sound immediatly gets defaulted to my laptops speakers. So if I had a TV show, or music, or whatever playing, it immediatly, only as soon as I hit the Play EQ button, starts going through my laptop built in speakers.

Along with this, when I try and load Teamspeak, after this problem has occurred, I get errors that it can not detect my output or input device.

To correct this issue, in Windows 7 I have to go into "Playback Devices", switch the default playback device to something else, then switch it back to Speakers/Headphones. I figure there is some kind of audio setting in EQ that is taking over, and changing things.

Anyone have any idea of what is going on?

Thanks again.

Re: Issue with sound output changing

Definitely has to be something with my audio driver, which I thought was up to date. Will try and update to see if it changes anything.

Switching from HDMI sound output through monitor speakers, to speakers/headphones output, which are headphones and/or speakers/mics hooked into the jacks on the side of the laptop, the show I was watching started having extreme video lag. Switch to the HDMI output, and the shows video clears right up. Switch back to the speakers/headphones output, and the show starts lagging like crazy and then after a few seconds the show shuts down saying WMP encountered an error.

Totally weird problem. >_<
