Keys / Mouse get 'stuck' under EQ

I'm a long-time InnerSpace user. Today I setup ISBoxer, and now I get frequent 'stuck' keys and right mouse as I move my toon around in game.

This never happens with just InnerSpace, only when I add in ISBoxer.

Windows 7, 64 bit

Also, my session hotkeys (used to bring a session into focus) only work when one session has focus already. With InnerSpace alone, these keys are global and will work even if Firefox or some other app has focus.

Re: Keys / Mouse get 'stuck' under EQ

The 'stuck' key issue appears to be related to Video FX and 'repeater pass-thru'

Even if the mouse is no where near the repeater region, when straifing, apparently the mouse movement causes ISBoxer to sometimes think that the mouse is moving into the repeater region even though there's no cursor, and once the mouse enters that region it gets 'locked' and exhibits the stuck behavior. I can tell because the toon on the recieving end of the repeater is moving around and reacting to the keypresses.

I turned off the Video FX repeater and the problem went away.

However, my whole reason to add ISBoxer to Innerspace is to specifically make use of the Video FX and repeaters, so a solution to this would be great :)

Re: Keys / Mouse get 'stuck' under EQ

I can switch windows while zoning just fine with InnerSpace itself, but not after adding the ISBoxer configurations. I'm not sure what ISBoxer changes within InnerSpace that breaks it, but it does.

(This one is from your other thread, I'm responding to it here though)
If you disable Window Swapping, you should have no problem switching windows while zoning. EQ doesn't process window messages (like for the size to change) while zoning (or at other loading screens), sadly. But that's not the end of the world; I don't use Window Swapping anymore, personally -- Video FX are way cooler. Check out these threads for some ideas: How to add a blank window for your video feeds! and Interesting uses for Video FX. PUNCTUATION C-C-C-COMBO!

Hopefully fixed, try this version: http://www.lavishsoft.com/downloads/mods/Lavish.ISBoxerSuite.38.4.525.1.exe
Let me know if that takes care of it and I'll push the update (a version check will still show 519.1 as latest)

If you decline to configure a Hotkey per Slot through ISBoxer, it will not remove the default global Ctrl+Alt+<#> keys. (I prefer that myself) The Hotkey option in ISBoxer is indeed a local bind in each of the game windows rather than a global bind. I can help you set up whatever global binds you want, it's just not built into ISBoxer ;)

Excellent, this solved my problem quite nicely.

The only way I could figure out how to do what I want is by using a simple startup script:
Code:
function main()
{
        variable int cnt=0
        cnt:Set[${Session.Right[1]}]
        GlobalBind isnum${cnt}_key "Num ${cnt}" "WindowVisibility foreground"
}

This will set up a global bind for Num 1 on is1, Num 2 on is2 etc. Clearly it'll screw up if I have more than 9 sessions, or rename my sessions to something other than isX, but I know not to do that, so it shouldn't be a problem. I set this as a Startup script in InnerSpace for my game. Works fine :)
