"You have been disconnected" black screen when using ISboxer

Running the game from the station launcher, I can log in and get to character select just fine, but when I launch the game using ISboxer, I will get the black "You have been disconnected" screen, and never reach character select.

This is what happens on the "no patch" profile, when I try to use the default profile, it says that everquest.exe does not exist, and to fix the path. I can't find everquest.exe anywhere on my computer. I normally use the station launcher to startup everquest.

I was using WinEQlite before, all I did was point the path to my everquest folder, and it launched the game fine.

Any Ideas?

Sounds like EQ isn't patched up? Run the patcher separately to patch it up, there was a patch yesterday. Make sure you're not confused by having multiple EQ folders, with one patched and one not patched, also :)

Ya I had a feeling the patch had something to do with it. Using the station launcher seems to screw everything up, with missing files etc.

I'm DLing everquest directly, with the normal patcher, so I have a feeling this with fix it, i'll update this post.

Alright so I finally got it set up...now a couple more questions =/

I'm only 2 boxing, is there anyway to have the same key just switch between the 2 characters? instead of having to bind an individual key to switch to each one.

Also, in the top left of the screen, there are 2 icons that have something to do with keymaps and broadcasting, how do I hide these icons? thanks.

In the top pane under Key Maps, select "Always On" (for WoW players it's "Control"). Then in the bottom left pane select "Next window", and to the right will be a blank Hotkey box. Set your Hotkey there :)

Also, in the top left of the screen, there are 2 icons that have something to do with keymaps and broadcasting, how do I hide these icons? thanks.

A few things you can do:
  • You can move the bar if you hit Ctrl+Shift+Alt+G to bring up the in-game ISBoxer Control Panel
  • You can hide it by default instead of being shown by default, by removing the link between the Click Bar and your Character Set. To do this, select your Character Set in the top pane, then in the bottom left pane under Click Bars right click "Toggles" (for WoW players it's "Broadcast") and select Delete
  • Next time you run the Wizard there's an option for this on the last page whether you want the Click Bar linked or not
  • You can toggle this bar on or off during play with Ctrl+Shift+Alt+B (regardless of whether it is linked, but if it's not linked you may need to hit the toggle hotkey twice the first time)
