Re: Client.ini keeps resetting and Layout issues

OK - seems to be Ultramon. I tried the registry change and there was no effect - still crashed. Quite Ultramon (after restoring the registry entry) and it now works. Basically, it's at the point where the Layout was being applied, because now instead of crashing, it removes the FPS indicator and changes to emulated full screen and everything works.

Any ideas on why Ultramon is an issue or any workaround for it from anyone?

Re: Client.ini keeps resetting and Layout issues

The registry entry is something windows incorrectly decided that you needed. See it all the time. It shouldn't be there and will prevent the named dll (Lavish.dll) from unloading correctly when it is asked to (when FreeLibrary is called on it). This would then mean that when EQ exists from an Innerspace launched session then the reference count would not be reduced, and will result in a memory leak. To be fair, this may not affect EQ unloading initially, but would probably affect you later if you exit your team, reload, exit, reload etc.

Some applications need this behaviour. InnerSpace does not. You should remove the compatibility setting entry because it should not be there.

As for why UltraMon causes issues. It possibly has something to do with how it is hooking the Window handle so place it overlays and do various Window management, which is overlapping slightly with what ISBoxer is also trying to do. As it doesn't have a confirmed compatible with Windows 10 version, there may be some subtle behaviour differences between W8 and W10 that UltraMon code does not currently account for.
