And if fake cursor is disabled but I still freeze up ... ?
Re: Problems with regions freezing up
I'm having exactly same problem on win7 64, 2 monitor, 1 graphics card, only freezing clients that I use repeater regions / video feeds with. I will add a few points that might help:
- I have fake cursor disabled
- before the frozen client freezes I see a giant white fake cursor in that client only
- the frozen client always crashes (eqgame.exe) after a few minutes
- camping / logging back before eqgame.exe crashes restores video but I still see the giant white fake cursor
- even if I kill all eqgame and innerspace processes and restart everything, that client still has a giant white fake cursor and crashes after a few minutes - only solution is to reboot my computer
If it's any help I had this problem with repeater pre-isboxer when I just wrote my own innerspace scripts with eq1, every 2-3 hours I would get frozen clients (except never saw the giant white cursor before now).

Re: Problems with regions freezing up
Yes, same, disabled the cursor. I can tell when a client stops rendering as I will see a giant white cursor in the video feed when I go to click on that region.
Today, I just 2 boxed with video feeds and repeater regions, played for several hours and no crash/freezing. Very smooth. But if I go back to 4 boxing with repeater regions on, I run into the problem of regions not rendering and eqgame eventually freezing and having to use the task manager to close it. Thanks.

Re: Problems with regions freezing up
This information has been helpful, thanks guys. I have an attempted fix in Inner Space build 5396, currently the development build of Inner Space. To try this build, right click IS and select Patcher, check "Download development (test) patches" then close and restart Inner Space.
Let me know any change in behavior.
Also, what kind of crash is it when the client finally crashes?

Re: Problems with regions freezing up
Tried Inner Space build 5396 tonight, unfortunately the same results. All but the main will stop rendering. Thanks again for your efforts as I know this is very time consuming.
Re: Problems with regions freezing up
Thanks
I have an ISBoxer update for you guys to try as well. ISBoxer 38.2.312.1 should hopefully fix the fake cursor appearing when it's disabled, among other things.
You can check if you have this version from the About window in ISBoxer's Help menu. If you do not have the About window, you don't have the newest version and it can be downloaded from http://www.lavishsoft.com/downloads/mods/Lavish.ISBoxerSuite.38.exe. 38.2.312.1 and later versions of ISBoxer have a version check and download button directly in the About window. (The "About ISBoxer Releases" post explains the new version numbering system and when updates are pushed or not)

Re: Problems with regions freezing up
Great work, Lax! All is good, played for several hours 4 boxing and no problems at all! Using IS build 5396 and ISBoxer Toolkit 38.2.313.2. Very happy, thanks again.
Re: Problems with regions freezing up
Lax, I will get details on the crash next time it happens, shame on me I haven't been paying attention to the EQ crashes (generic message of "eqgame.exe has stopped working", I'm sure there is a button to get more detail tho).
*edit: also I will try the new builds tonight and report back, prob not for a couple days since it can take me several hours to see this problem

Re: Problems with regions freezing up
Based on the favorable responses to the fixes, Inner Space 5400 and ISBoxer 38.2.315.2 are now live. Disabling the Fake Cursor option should no longer be necessary in this version -- it will just "not work" sometimes (or for some games) instead of showing a bad cursor and sometimes crashing etc.
Glad that's taken care of now.

Re: Problems with regions freezing up
Ok, I just logged about 20 hours with this (in two sessions) and had zero problems. I used my video / repeater regions more than I normally would just to be sure. Thanks for the quick turnaround!
