Re: Another newbie post, need help with group invites...

I'm still stuck on this. My Invite(accept invite) command doesn't seem to work? I've got it set up as a variable keystroke, and if I physically press ctrl+I in game it invites whoever I'm targetting, but during my Group Invite keymap the invite(accept invite) command doesn't seem to do anything?

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

According to Firescue17's post here, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4242&p=18665#p18665
ALT+ Anykey is bugged, so using it as a hotkey for an ingame social (the key combination you have set on Accept Invite) probably wont work.

Relevant bit wrote:BUGGED, INVALID, OR OTHERWISE UNAVAILABLE KEYBINDS FOR EQ: Please post if you find others.
ALT- Any Key / CTRL-ALT Any Key: Will send the keystroke; however it also opens the Item Preview Window if used on a Hotbutton made directly from an item.
CTRL-N: Bugged or Hardcoded in the EQ client to open the Mail Window even if the Keybind is unmapped from Options -> Keys -> UI -> Mail Window Toggle
Enter: Additional Info
NumPad Enter: Additional Info

Note: You can use ALT+Anykey as a hotkey for ISBoxer, just not something that needs to be sent to the game.

Oh man. I feel so stupid right now. I must have miss clicked alt+I instead of ctrl+I (a lot!) and just blanked that I had done it when checking over things.

Thanks loads bob. Much appreciated.

Pardon me for asking a potentially ignorant question, but why not just do the invites manually? takes me like 5 seconds to invite all 3 of my toons. As long as I do it in the right order, I have no issues.

Sure one button invite and accept would be nice (can the other toons auto accept the invite?) but it not having looked into the issue, and trying to learn isboxer myself I am concentrating on getting my team up and running as quickly as possible.

Yes you can setup 1 button invites and have the others auto accept. It makes things smooth and easy for sure. I am also pretty new to ISBoxer and have more than 100 hrs invested in learning to get it configured. I understand wanting to get the Team up and running as soon as possible but if you rush it you will just get yourself killed. I have countless hours invested now with playing my toons as I am also using ISBoxer and it helps me to see what I want to do and change to become more efficient.
Firescue and Bob are amazing help and can give you great advice on the more fine points of using ISBoxer.
I saw where Firescue posted about setting up one thing at a time and getting used to it and I cannot 2nd that enough. As you start to get your configuration down your whole outlook on the way you play EQ will change
The more I play the more I no longer view my Characters as individuals but as a Team that I am controlling that has many abilities. With this outlook my ISBoxer configuration is changing and streamlining

FWIW I went a bit different route and just set up a social in EQ that invited my group members and use repeater to select ACCEPT. When clicking accept it seems to always bring them in in order of invite.
