Square Enix stance on multiboxing

The Square Enix support page concerning multiboxing has changed.

Check the wording now:
https://support.na.square-enix.com/faqa ... &kid=67225

The part that is of concern is this statement: "While you are able to run multiple instances of FINAL FANTASY XIV on a PC, please note that the use of third party programs to automatically input controls are against the Terms of Service for FINAL FANTASY XIV."

With not enough description of what they mean it's left open to interpretation. Has anyone recently been reported for multiboxing in FFXIV and been OK?

So like the Microsoft Input HID driver is not OK?

Also, no idea on the answer to your actual question.

That said, they do say "automatically". ISBoxer is not automatic input. You have to press a key for something to be sent to the game. Comes down to what they define as "automatic input".

Update May 5, 2021:
The text at the link has been changed back to the way it was originally. It appears that a lot of people had issues with the way it was worded.

Any way with the change with WoW on hardware broadcasting, I'm out completely for all Blizzard games as of May 5, 2021. I'm back to FFXIV and Everquest with ISBoxer/Innerspace.
