Quirk of window region slot options.

I use multiple monitors, and I've noticed if I set my group up with 6 slots, and have the main slot swap with whichever one is selected, the main screen stays up, even if I move focus to another window (like IE, for example). If I set up 7 slots so that each window has it's own space on the second screen (my preference), any time I change focus from the main screen, the main EQ window minimizes down to it's own slot on the second monitor. To get it back I have to select one of the EQ windows from the windows taskbar.

Am I missing a toggle switch somewhere in the setup, or is there some way to get the behavior of the two modes more consistent.

When setting up key bindings and figuring out rotations of spells for macros, etc, I very often need to have other apps (like excel or IE) open, and it's a pain having the character window I'm trying to read vanish when I try to type in another app.

It's not world ending, but if there's an easy solution I'd appreciate the feedback.

Thanks.
