Broadcasting not lining up in windowed fullscreen mode

My setup is as follows.

- 2 monitors. Main is 2560x1440 Second is 1200x1920 (it is in portrait mode)
- Window 1 takes up the entire first monitor
- Windows 2, 3, and 4 are stacked vertically on the second monitor (each is 1200x640)
- All games for each window are set to windowed fullscreen

Broadcasting from the main window to the other 3 doesn't line up in this setup and if i move my mouse over to them the cursor dissappears (i have set focus on mouseover set) until I click in that window. If I change the 3 clients on the second monitor to fullscreen it lines up perfectly (but text is messy ofcourse) and mousing over them works fine.

I would really like to get this working in windowed fullscreen so that the additional clients look better and have crisper text, but not sure what i am doing wrong. I have attached my settings and a window state taken while in the game.

I can't comment on why the cursor is disappearing, but I can tell that your mouse cursor is off because 2560x1440 doesn't use the same aspect ratio as 1200x640. This video explains what that means, and if you don't want to do that then keep watching the video and change your cursor positioning mode like it shows at the end.

Thanks MiRai. I will try out the scaling repeater options to see how they work. I wasn't aware of them.

The aspect ratio being off makes sense. I won't be able to do a window layout that makes them all match using only 4 windows.

That said. I wonder if I can do all 4 game clients stacked on the main monitor at 2560x1440 then have 3 dxNothing windows on the second monitor using videoFX to view a secondary client each? Can you do a videoFX viewer of a larger window in the background in a dxnothing window that is smaller and have it scale properly?

You could, but you wouldn't be filling up every inch of screen real estate that you've got.

That's exactly how a Window Layout consisting of VideoFX works, minus the fact that you only need one dxNothing window and not three (for your situation); but you still run into the problem to where your VFX Viewers aren't going to match the aspect ratio of your clients if you're trying to "fill up" your vertical monitor, so they'll likely either be stretched or squished.

Re: Broadcasting not lining up in windowed fullscreen mode

Thanks for the info MiRai. I have a setup i am happy with now that doesn't use a scaling repeater.

I redid a new character set through the Quick Setup Wizard that had my 4 characters plus a 5th for dxNothing. The 4 characters are stacked fullscreen on my main 2560x1440 monitor and the dxnothing window takes up the full second monitor. Once I loaded them all up I created fullscreen viewer sources for each of the characters and then created a viewer for each of the 3 alternate characters to be displayed on the dxnothing window using 1136x639 for the resolution for them. This way they take up the majority of my screen real estate on the second monitor, yet they still have proper broadcasting. Seems to be working much better then my previous setup.

I still have to do some configuring like setting up click passthrough and such but your other videos I have seen on those topics were pretty clear so i think i can manage it.
