Patch 2.0.5 Clients Crashing

Hello, I am trying to run 3 accounts after updating diablo 3 to 2.0.5
All of the clients crash after a couple minutes and would like to know if there is a patch for this in the works, and a possible ETA.
Thanks for your help, great product :D

If you're getting a crash, then you should provide a crash report (which normally has useful information in it). You can also try deleting your extra cache folders and letting Inner Space rebuild them.

Re: Patch 2.0.5 Clients Crashing

Blizzard is having crashing problems related with rifts and rift bosses in the new 2.05 patch. Are you sure this isn't the issue?

edit: apparently it can happen at any time even when NOT in a rift :(

Hi Everyone,

We currently have an issue that may cause some players to crash when entering a Nephalem Rift or changing areas. We are currently working on a potential fix for this, but in the meantime we have a workaround that may help.

Open your Options menu (press esc).
Locate the Speaker Setup menu under Sound options.
Select "Stereo" in the dropdown and hit Accept.

Following these steps may help reduce the frequency at which this occurs while we are working on getting a fix deployed.

Your patience is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Re: Patch 2.0.5 Clients Crashing

Well I tried again and was able to play just fine for about an hour and then all the sudden in a rift all the clients closed and the same crash message popped up.. all it says is an error occured yadayada.. there is no error code tho, its a window where u can write a description of the error and a ticket or reference number "931D0555-B00B-4C94-815E-7800B56D07F8" and choose "reopen" or "Close" reopen just reopens battlenet. I did change the audio to stereo ,which may have allowed me to play longer? Not sure, oh well I will try again.

I am experiencing the same problem you are. If this gets fix, I would like to know also.

The issues in this thread should have been fixed in the follow-up D3 patch, 2.0.5a. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/14138345/patch-205a-now-live-5-14-2014

Anyone having crashing issues after this update should be reporting it as a new issue, and please provide any details you can. For example, it might help to have the information from your D3Debug.txt (found in your Diablo 3 folder). If it pops up a crash reporter, it might help to talk about the technical details in the crash report, etc. I'm locking this thread so we can get past issues created by 2.0.5 and solved by 2.0.5a.
