Power Leveling Dual Boxing

Hello,

I've tried isoboxer on Dibalo 3 and it works well with 2 accounts.

Now I have a question : what's the best way to level up a new char using isoboxer ?
If you invite the low level char on the level 60 char, he'll die a lot.
If you invite the level 60 into the low level char, it works well, but that's not really fast.

So, do you guys have some tips to level up a char from 1 to 60 using dual boxing ?
On wich difficulty are you playing ?

For info I'm using 2 DH, one is level 60 paragon 60 with 162K DPS, the other one i've just created is now level 54.

Re: Power Leveling Dual Boxing

You can try do some quests where you receive XP. I did powerlvl one char with Mira run at 2.0.1.
It gave me 11mln EXP for each run (2 min), so with this one run I lvl from 1 to 7 just in 2 min. I did it with 4 accounts and Torment VI.
When you play with main char and find exp shrine, add your second char to the game and get boost for two chars.

Re: Power Leveling Dual Boxing

Thx, but the Mira run has been nerfed and honestly it's a little boring to do and you don't need isoboxer for that neither.

What i'm looking for is the best way to keep the "follower" alive :)

Looks like the only way (using isoboxer), is to play all the act in the follower party on hard or expert difficulty. This way, I reached the end of act III being level 54..

Re: Power Leveling Dual Boxing

It was only answer what and how to do :)
Yes Mira run was nerfed, so you need find another quest - Diablo kill? I don't know, how much exp it gave.

I did a taxi for my 3 other accounts. My first char was a wizard witch archon build - I play only act 3, dungeon keeps lvl 2 - it's take about 4h for exp all 3 chars from 1 to 60.
Now archon is nerfed, monsterd density nerfed... I thing the best is exp from quest as I wrote at my first post.
I used many items with additional exp and speed. (born, cain, etc.)

Re: Power Leveling Dual Boxing

The 2 most popular runs right now for XP and/or Paragon levels is COTA and Royal Audience. Run both of these at the highest difficulty level that you can comfortably kill mobs at.

COTA - Crypt of the Ancients
Start on Act 1 - Quest 6 - Talk to Alaric part
Follow the quest objectives until you find the Crypt of the Ancients
Once you go in, you will get the checkpoint
Clear the crypt, but don't get the quest update inside the cave
Once clear, exit game.
Now simply click resume game and you will have a waypoint in town right back inside COTA.
Clear again, rinse, repeat.

RA - Royal Audience
Start on Act 2 - Quest 4 - Begin Quest
Run a little bit until Ashera takes you inside temple/courtyard or whatever.
Clear courtyard, then clear all the way back towards town.
This run is over once the girl opens the manhole down into the sewers.
After clearing all mobs, go into sewer and you will get quest xp reward.
Exit game, and now reset your quest back to the begin quest part and start over.

Differences in the runs
RA has only trash mobs, wheras COTA has an elite each time.
You can typically run RA at a higher difficulty level. For instance, I'm boxing a barb and dh - We can do RA on torment 3, but COTA only on torment 1.
COTA has many pools of reflections that spawn inside - i have not yet seen a single one on an RA run.
Due to the randomness of the elite's affixes, COTA can be more difficult. I occasionally get a nasty one and one of my toons gets killed. This sucks if you have pool of reflection bonus xp, but not as bad as if you were/are a HC character.
COTA seems to be a little bit better on xp. I'm averaging about 330 million xp per hour versus right at 300 million for RA.
COTA is a shorter run and I tend to get bored of it quicker running it over and over.
I seem to get more rare drops in COTA - legendary drop rate is about the same. More rares can be good if you're looking for crafting mats, or bad if you have to stop to go do inventory maintenance.
Don't do too high a difficulty level. I can do the RA run on torment4, but it took forever to kill the mobs. After running the numbers, I was geting more xp doing t3 since I could kill faster. I ran numbers for t2 as well and wasn't getting as much as I was for t3. Your mileage on the difficulty level will vary so find that sweet spot.
As for me, I rotate between both of these runs. If i don't have pool of relection bonus xp active, I will do COTA. If I do, or if I'm really burnt out on COTA, I will switch over to RA for a while. Mixing them up keeps me sane. But if you're just powerleveling someone to 60, you will probably get them there very quickly and burnout won't be an issue.

TL;DR
COTA - that's what KingKongor was doing last i checked and he's like paragon lvl 545

Anybody else got any good, current runs that haven't been nerfed (yet) ?

I don't think you can, its only one portal now. What i do witch is pretty fast is run with 1 guy to the portal, click M on my keybord to open the map, and click on my leader. My remaining characters teleport to leader.

Thanks a lot. I didn't know you can click on the leader from the map and then teleport to the leader.

Re: Power Leveling Dual Boxing

I found a quest (ACT III - catapult) you don't do the catapult but the event at the really beginning of the quest.
You talk to the general and mobs attaks. Sometimes the keywarden will spawn or another elite so don't go to high on the torment level ;)

This way you can let your low level char down the stairs, and he will get the XP for the quest. more than 2.6M in torment 2 (2 or 3 min)

If it still work for you?
Yesterday I try boost my other char, and when I did this quest I received 4,5mln exp for main char, and ~300k exp for char under 60lvl.
When I kill mobs at T3 my new char with lvl under 60 receive exp points fast, but not as fast as I'll get exp points when complete quest. :/
