Issues with bottlenecking SSD . Help!
Thanks for the fast replies all - currently I am multiboxing four accounts all on lowest settings. I'm using the following -
Intel i7-4820k (at 20% usage with all 4)
Asus X79-Deluxe motherboard (the best)
Windows 7
GeForce super OC GTX 760 (2gb)
Toshiba 128g SSD 7900/rpm (read/sec is bottlenecking 100% every 3 seconds)
16g ram (under 20% usage )
I'm getting stuttering now and then. Or one of my accounts will freeze and then crash.
I am using perfmon to monitor everything.
Would getting another SSD and switching then to RAIDO. Help??
Or is it my gpu card? Should I go with SLI? Could that be the issue? I get slight screen tears (now and then) but only when I multibox. I have ZERO issues playing on one account EVER.
Thank for all your help!!!! You are awesome!
Here are some suggestion I got so far. Feel free to chime in or contradict them.
""I'm not super familiar with the inner workings of SSDs, but could it be because reading 4 diablos worth of files simultaneously can max the read speed. I mean, theoretically the read speed should be 6gbs, right?
Do you have the correct drive formatting set up in your BIOS (not IDE) for max performance?""
""More ram + Ramdisk.
Softperfect ramdisk is free, been using it for over a year with np.
It's kind of a pain to copy whatever your playing over then back it up afterward, but you can't beat the read/write speeds. SSD's just won't touch it.""
""""Ramdisk is temporary drive made on your spare memory. Assuming your D3 is 18.2g like mine, you need that much spare ram to host the entire game on it. You need whatever you use currently +18.2g. I also like some breathing room of 3-4gigs. 32 gigs should do the trick for what you want.""""
I'm not sure if that suggestion is possible because isboxer uses the same path for diablo 3
