Anyone else play 4x Monks? (need help)

I got my monks to 60 and bought them some decent gear. but I am just having a hard time with them. I dunno if its melee or what, but I have gotten better at keeping them together but they always seem to end up facing the wrong diretion or get off a little in a fight and then die from lack of healing generated. I'll end up with just my main alive and the other 3 dead and I end up soloing the champion/elite packs, which takes a while but is doable. Its like I play better solo then with 4x monks, so I am just hoping someone else here plays 4x monk and would be willing to help me out, or maybe offer some advice. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have an answer specifically for how to play at those higher levels, but it might help others give advice if you provide links to your characters' armory profiles so that they can evaluate your current gear, stats, skills, etc. Only if you feel comfortable sharing such information, though.

Yea ok, I don't mind. I normally farm MP10 on MY main monk solo, just clearing whites and skipping elites, averaging about 150m/hour experience and quite a bit of legendaries. Obviously with Multiboxing I was not able to use that strategy and so I been playing around with few different builds. The problem I seem to have really is not so much gear/stats as much as it is multiboxing. I mean I can have 3 die, and solo down the champion/elite with just 1 , so I can definately do it, its just taking forever solo lol. But at times, they stick together I mow through mobs.

I don't know, it just seems that if I am close to a wall where I can run them to regroup quickly then I am ok. But during a fight they always seem to get slightly off, and then from that point they get off quickly in different directions and I end up dieing trying to get them back together by switching screens rather then just playing on them. It is a bit frustrating I guess, I absolutely love monks, my favorite class, but I was contemplating using 4 range classes just so I would have as much issues. I am still uncertain whether its better to put my Fist of Thunder on my left click or right click, they both act differently. On Left click you have to hold shift to activate it, but on right mouse you just have to hold it down, and it will auto attack anything near.

I just run TR monks with Bells on MP1-2.

There going to gather dust for awhile though as I transition to CM Wiz x 4. I figure that'll be easy MP10 mode

I am thinking of going wiz also since I am struggling with my monks on MP10 a bit. Its sad cause solo I can rape mp10 with each of the 4 monks, but together I struggle bad.

ugh, so frustrated right now. trying to play and my guys are constantly getting split apart. I am def doing something wrong. I will hold down left click and try to run against wall in Festering Woods and 2 of them run in the wall and the other 2 run around it with some kind of pathfinding I guess, so then its even worse then it was to start with, and while fighting a Champion Pack, so I completely died, all because they got a little split apart.

If there is anyone here who is decent at keeping your guys together please let me know. Thanks

having same problem with barbarians. Keep getting split up . able to up to MP6 but after that its very difficult. Might try Wizards if we get some positive feedback.

If you quad box, any combination, you will have one or two toons that will go their own way. Blizzard map got some invisible block that at times make your toon to go stray.

If you have high latency like me 250ms, chances are greater to have toons that goes their own way. I play 4 DH, I move very slowly and every now and then I have to go one corner and gather all of them.

But at times, when fighting elites due to a lot of graphic appear on the screen, the mouse start to lag and it is very hard to get all the toons stay together.

If only Blizzard have implement collision avoidance then maybe our 4 toons will stay together. IMHO.

PS. If you play 4 wizard, don't spam blizzard. My fps drop to 1 to 2 when spamming blizzard.

I watch Inigo mow through MP10 on his Barbs and MY 4 MOnks have better gear lol. I have to be doing something wrong.
I mean all 4 of my Monks are setting at like 300k dps, 220k,220,200k .

you referring the streamers on twitch? Notice they only do keep 2 because there are a lot corners to group up. 4 boxing, the longer you fight, the higher chance you get split up. So, kill fast. Your gears are good. But based on my exp, skorn is just too slow. That makes your monk's maneuvering not as agile. Imagine, you do hold shift attack, move, the hold shift attack. With skorn, you stuck in attack animation longer. Higher chance to go out of sync. Try dual wield 1.5 daggers ( you want echo fury if you really switch) you will notice difference.

2nd note, with 300k dps x 4, try take serenity 7 seconds immunity, and wait for elites at a door or at corner. Burst it down before immunity wears off

You don't have 300 k dps unbuffed . Need more gear. You need 250 k unbuffed to kill elites in 7 seconds
