4th instance drops FPS down to under 3 - ideas?

I have been able to configure and launch with ISBoxer. Everything works, but once I login to the 4th instance and actually go into game, FPS drops under 3 and is unplayable. I shutdown 4th instance and everything runs fine with 3 @ 35 to 50 FPS.

I tried the recommendations I've seen on forums. Dropped foreground FPS to 30, etc. I monitored performance and even with all 4 running GPUs (running dual NVidia 9800GT with SLI active) spiking at about 60-70 % at most. I have i7 processor and I do notice 7 of the 8 processors are thrashing, but total utilization runs at 23 to 28 percent at most. I tried several different CPU strategies with same result.

Any chance network throughput to the Internet causing this issue?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, I have other PCs I could run the 4th instance on or 3rd and 4th instance to optimize performance. Can this be done and if so how?

Best advice I can give at this point is to follow the directions in the linked thread and maybe someone will catch an issue in your config.

While my guess is actually that your old video card can't keep up with 4 instances of the game, you don't have any CPU cores set to any Slot. Re-run the CPU Wizard and choose something like Round-Robin or All Games/All Cores.

And try dropping your foreground/background FPS to 30/30.

I believe I have tried those combinations, but will try again.

I've never used multiple computers before so I can't be of any real assistance. You'll need to start here and ask questions related to multiple machines in this sub-forum here.
