8-10 second delay between characters.

I went through the first bunch of pages, and tried searching, but I'm not finding anything about my specific issue. Can anyone help me figure out why there's such a heavy lag between my two instances? I watch videos, and it seems like it's sync'd up well. But if I do something on one character, there's about an 8 second delay before it happens on the other character.

Is this a delay setting of some sort I have turned on?

Thanks.

Re: 8-10 second delay between characters.

Start up the CPU strategy wizard and set your maximum background and foreground fps to the same values. A comfortable setting will depend on the power of your computer. I have a decent budget rig, but running 4 accounts I still need to set them all to 20fps to maintain a fairly constant sync even with my in game resolutions and graphics at a minimum. You can also play with the drop down options for how your CPU cores handle the instances, I've heard "Select all CPUs with every window" works well for most.

Re: 8-10 second delay between characters.

I'm running two accounts on an i7-2800k with 16 gigs of ram, 128 Gb 6gb/s SSD, and a GTX 560 Ti and I'm only running 30/30 fps. I'd be pretty surprised to find out it's an issue with performance. I'll try lowering it to 20 fps, but an 8 second delay shouldn't be fixed by 10 fps...

I'll give it a shot though, thank you for the suggestion.

Your paste shows you're still using the default 60/30. Nice rig though, I don't think it was the cause now either.

It also shows he's only using one core (and virtual core) per instances as well leaving 2 other cores sitting around idle. OP, if you want more performance you'll want to give Inner Space more CPUs to use.

I thought I went in and configured everything, and when I right click the icon it shows 30/30. But I'll start it over and see if it's just a fluke.

Thanks.

How would you suggest configuring the CPU settings? I chose Round-Robin balancing (HyperThreading) (Dedicate CPU 1) (FPS 30/30), which is what it says is recommended...

Re: 8-10 second delay between characters.

Okay so I got that worked out, the next time I launched it the 8 seconds was gone. I still made the suggested changes, even though it was already working, since it seemed to make sense. The new problem I have is that the characters won't sync up for some reason. On one screen, they show they're perfectly on top of each other. On the other screen, it shows them about a persons length apart. The problem is obviously throwing off where I'm clicking. So if I click to attack something, because the screen is different on each screen, they're both doing something different.

Any idea what can cause this? I've included a picture of what this looks like for reference. (This screen shot is not altered in any way, it's literally a screenshot of my dual screens.)

Re: 8-10 second delay between characters.

I have this problem too.

I have to go to each screen and adjust the video option and make sure all is the same setting. I have also realise that whenever the latency is different on both account, there will be problem with mouse pointer not being syn. (one account latency is at 205ms and suddenly the other account latency is at 350ms)

Also, if I click the mouse at a slower pace, the chances of it not being syn is less. This is my observation, hope it help in some way to solve your problem.
