BTW - how to find which PID is on which SLOT? When I have freeze should I make dump from all 4 processes?
I don't have a good answer to identify it, you might not be able to do that reliably without closing the good ones and leaving the bad one up.
So far I have a dump from 2 different people, still all on NVIDIA. No useful information in the dumps yet. As everyone says, the game is still technically running and operating, it's just not rendering.
If anyone happens to have the DirectX SDK installed in order to turn on DirectX 9 debugging (yes 9 not 10 or 11, yes even if you're on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1), it's possible that DirectX will provide some useful error information. (This requires both installing the SDK, and having a debugger or
DebugView in order to see the error messages)
I have some other related information from a couple guys in the ISBoxer Chat Room that might help someone:
1. One of them has apparently worked around the issue by adjusting the in-game graphics settings to include low settings instead of high settings, including the Low FX check box, and to make sure all of the windows are set to "Windowed (Fullscreen)" (some were set to Fullscreen). This guy is playing Witch Doctors.
2. The other has reported that he gets this issue regardless of his graphics settings (all on low/medium), but only on his Barbarians. He had no issue on Demon Hunters or Wizards.
So there's a couple other things to try or information to share -- graphics settings, different classes. How many of you who are crashing are playing Barbarians? Are you WW barbs?
(Also of interest, I am playing my Witch Doctors to try to reproduce the issue; I will switch to Barbarians since that seems to be the majority so far)
