Any tweak for better/faster sync?

I'm wonder if it any way for better and faster sync?
Faster CPU/GPU? some new settings (cpu profiles etc.)? or something else?

I did some tests, and even when my CPU is used only for 30%-40% GPU used at max 70% I still have desync problems.

Please look at short video which I made for tests purposes. http://goo.gl/6DnFhw
All barbs have almost the same items (speed,cc,cd,skils) but you can see slow sync even if I start moving.

If it's any tweaks for hardware/software which help me eliminate this slow sync?
It's well see when I click to move - main slot start move, but 3 others starts moving after ~1 sec.

Re: Any tweak for better/faster sync?

Id love to know this as well. I see streamers like Pokey running 4 barbs and they all move at the same time. They never go out of sync on running around. However, my guys always have a lag where they are running behind me. And lately it seems that one will lag a couple steps behind the group even further and sometimes warp back. Not sure whats going on... =/

This is completely and 100% unrelated to your CPU or GPU. You need to remember that this is not a LAN game, you are playing the game on Blizzard servers. The "slow sync" you are seeing is related only to your network path to and from the game server. When you move, you send a message to the game saying "hey, I'm moving". The other players (i.e. your main window!) get notified of the movement by the server. If you have all of your game windows visible, then you should actually watch each window because it is there that you will see their true movement. What you see on the main screen -- the location and speed of different players -- may be different than on their own screen!

If you happen to make a new demo video to discuss this, capture all 4 windows next to each other ;)

I went to his youtube to find a multiboxnig video that shows it. Here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amp3ZAA2iRc
Note that just like you you guys, his other guys on this one screen have a delay. And they desync within the first 20 seconds of the video! He collects his guys against geometry at about 18 seconds in.

If his "delay" is different than yours, it is because of the difference in connection from your PC to the game server and back, vs his PC to the game server and back.

However, my guys always have a lag where they are running behind me. And lately it seems that one will lag a couple steps behind the group even further and sometimes warp back. Not sure whats going on

Re: Any tweak for better/faster sync?

To the OP or Lax, what program would you recommend recording gameplay issues to show? My de-sync is not that bad, better than the OPs. I was on the band wagon just to see if there were tweaks in Innerspace/ISBoxer to improve. However, I do have a crazy rubber-banding issues since as of late. I actually didn't have it right after re-installing D3 but then I changes a bunch of stuff trying to fix the random screen hang (another topic Lax is looking into). Now I get a character here and there randomly lagging way behind and then instantly porting back to the group when I cast something. Since it didn't do this right after I played but rather after changing ingame settings and ISBoxer stuff I am going to reinstall and start from scratch.

Re: Any tweak for better/faster sync?

I noticed when i changed the CPU strategy that it didn't actually change it under my character sets (might be a bug that lax should look into). Try manually setting 1 or 2 cores for each box. I have a AMD phenom x6 1045T and the way i have it set up now is

main window: cores 1-6
2nd window:cores 1,2
3rd window:cores 3,4
4th window:cores 5,6

Before i made this change my toons kept falling behind and getting out of sync. I had it set so it was using all CPUs with all Windows. I think what was happening was that they were all fighting with each other and that caused stuttering and lag. I'm able to run the game MUCH MUCH smoother now. I hope this helps!

Re: Any tweak for better/faster sync?

My CPU is 8 core so I have 2 CPU dedicated per character.

After re-installing everything the issue was still there. Turns out after last patch/hotfix (a few days back) a lot of people are getting problems like me with rubberbanding/latency spikes. I decided to try just the regular D3 client and found I was getting it from time to time. Then i switched back to multiboxing and noticed that only one of my clients would get it at a time (as I noticed before) but I also checked and found the latency bar on that client would go to like 600ms+. Sounds strange since you'd think the latency would be across all my clients but it looks to be an issue on Blizzard end. Just bad timing with the client freeze issue here and me trying to make changes to fix it.
