Major lag since InnerSpace update last weekend

I'm going to add to this thread and say that it's highly unlikely that an update to Inner Space is creating latency issues for you, and only you. If your issues were being caused by the update, then 1) more people would be here reporting this behavior, and 2) downgrading would have immediately shown an improvement. Updates to Inner Space or ISBoxer do not affect latency, and the fact that something changed when an update happened is almost always a coincidence. The internet is a vast ocean of connections after leaving the pole outside of your house, and any connection between you and the servers, which is completely out of your control, could easily be causing a problem -- Solo or multiboxing.

You don't mention what it is you're doing exactly when you see this wave of high latency, but trying to fight a ton of mobs at once with certain classes has a tendency to cause this issue, and there are players (solo and in a full party) on the Blizzard forum reporting this exact same problem. Also, every time you have an issue with latency you should be following Blizzard's own troubleshooting steps and running a trace route. The latency of Diablo 3 is generally all over the place depending on peak play times and whether they're being DDOS'd this week or not, and there's even a sticky thread about Virgin Media having problems with latency all of a sudden as of yesterday.

With all of that said, and as bob mentioned, it could easily be a hardware issue, and I wouldn't look past the fact that sending a large amount of packets through your router, switch, or modem could be causing it to act up since this wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

Its been a week, I just wanted to post an update to say resetting the screen layout profile did the trick for me, I have experienced no latency since doing this - other than the odd usual blip
