Insane Frame Drops!

Hello!

I've decided to go through the 7 days trial before purchasing the ISBoxer software, but encounterd with a few issues that require your assistance.
It's impossible for me to play with 4 characters at all!
I took a bench of Open Hardware Monitor and i saved the log.
I was told i can send it or post it on the forums and get a proper feedback on what's going on :(
Is ther an email or i should just post the entire log on this thread?

I have a very decent rig, abit old of course, but still should run this with no problem.
I do believe i have a faulty GPU though, it's been doing some goofy stuff for the past 6 months... But the games running just fine most of the time.

Either just paste it in the thread or go to privatepaste.com, paste it there (it gives you a big box to paste in and then click Save, no signup or anything) and give us the URL

Re: Insane Frame Drops!

Okay, here's the important bits.

CPU
| +- CPU Total : 30.3846 0.576925 96.5385 (/intelcpu/0/load/0)
| +- CPU Core #1 : 46.9231 0 96.1539 (/intelcpu/0/load/1)
| +- CPU Core #2 : 16.1539 0 96.1539 (/intelcpu/0/load/2)
| +- CPU Core #3 : 32.3077 0 100 (/intelcpu/0/load/3)
| +- CPU Core #4 : 26.1538 0 93.8462 (/intelcpu/0/load/4)

GPU #1
| +- GPU Core : 31 0 99 (/nvidiagpu/0/load/0)
| +- GPU Memory : 92.3271 11.1641 99.7269 (/nvidiagpu/0/load/3)

GPU #2
| +- GPU Core : 43 0 95 (/nvidiagpu/1/load/0)
| +- GPU Memory : 92.3271 11.1641 99.7266 (/nvidiagpu/1/load/3)

System RAM
| +- Memory : 92.1323 22.4022 92.5342 (/ram/load/0)

The right-most column indicates the highest % usage that OHM saw. Based on this information, I would have to agree that you're pretty much pushing your hardware to the limits with your current setup. All 4 CPU cores are maxed, as are your GPU cores and GPU memory, and your system ram at 92%. You will either need to adjust the settings in the game to reduce quality in favor of performance, or upgrade your hardware. http://isboxer.com/wiki/HOWTO:Tweak_your_framerate#In-game_configuration -- e.g. open up the in-game video settings, and find the drop-down boxes with like shadows, textures, etc and configure it lower than it is. The resolution of the game is also important; higher the resolution, the more GPU power and memory it requires.

Re: Insane Frame Drops!

Thank you for your reply~
I've tried to put everything on minimuz settings, and even thought it made it slight better its still pretty much unplayable.
I guess it's time to upgrade my rig... or buy a new one.
Do you have any pointers on spesific things to have in my new system? like spesific amount of RAM, GPU recommendation etc?
