Grey screens/extremely long load times
Let me start off by saying that this program is awesome, I have been using it for 6 months to multibox D3. I am confident that my game works properly. Here's the relevant bits of my configuration in case it matters:
Asus P8Z77 with i5-3570k
16gb ram
Radeon 6670 2GB, drivers at 13.2 (game worked fine before, pretty sure drivers are not an issue)
Windows 7 x64
Latest ISBoxer and Innerspace
D3 at 1.0.7 latest
IS settings to skip launcher, everything else typical (worked perfectly before patch)
When 1.0.7 came out, I patched without IS, so I'm pretty sure my installation is fine. I can start the game normally, no problem. When starting with IS, the first launch for any display slot will go to grey screen for 2-3 min and may or may not finally load. I have found that as soon as it goes grey screen, I can kill it in task manager and relaunch the slot, and it will launch normally. However, the next time after that, if the game crashes or something, the process repeats. This happens with every single display slot.
I assume that since it seems to affect each display slot individually, that narrows the problem down to the cache folders, D3Prefs.txt, or the registry settings (those are the only things that I know of that are unique to each display slot). Here is what I know through experimenting:
1. D3Prefs.txt doesn't seem to have anything to do with it. There is no change to the file between a failed launch and a successful launch.
2. If I delete the cache folders (referring to the cache folder pertaining to that display slot), it will certainly go to grey screen on the next launch. However, two important points. Before 1.0.7, I have deleted cache folders plenty of times (corruption from running out of disk space, no longer an issue) and the game loads the next time just fine, maybe with a 2-3 second delay as it recopies the cache. Second, the game seems to have the same problem even if the cache is left intact between sessions.
Here's my console log when I launch and it goes to grey screen:
