EDIT : Most of this was incorrect... :p

MP10 with both characters, the 60 doing all the killing. Make sure both characters have the same runspeed.

Re: Best way to level up 1 new character

Not sure if this is the best way but this is what I did. Just a quick break down

To start I already had leorics ring.

Purchased x2 - The Crudest Boots - lvl3 with runspeed
Purchased x1 - Broken Crown put highest ruby you have in it
Get any open socket stuff you can find and drop amethysts in them

Run Act 3 Keep Depths on MP10

I found that any other map was way to risky and my follower died a lot. So just stick with that and keep remaking games until you can do the next difficulty level.

At around 15ish

Purchased Aquila Cuirass

At around 23ish

Purchased x2 Cain's Sandles
Purchased Leorics crown put ruby in it

At around 41 ish

Purchased x2 Hammer Jammers

Worked well for me.

Re: Best way to level up 1 new character

Hi

Maybe you have found this method already but here is what i do to lvl up new chars.
Usally when i multibox using this method it takes about 5 hours to get from lvl 1 to 60.
If you do this with a friend and do it efficient you can easily do it under 4 hours.

There are some pre req's thou:

1. you need a lvl 60 char for multiboxing (or friend helping out)
2. As bigp3rm wrote above, you will need Leorics Signet, you will also need to have the Cain's "set", there are 4 pieces but you only need 3 for the set bonus, last but not the least you will need a socketed helm with a star ruby or higher, preferably higher, these items will give you a huge experience boost. (Note: these items will cost you some gold, the signet and the gem is the most expensive, the cain's set should not be alot thou.)
There is also alot of items that get avalible to you during you lvling, most of those items are really cheap on ah, just search for items and set the filter to "Experience" and try to upgrade your items as often as you can, there are alot of stuff you can get at lvl 15, 18, 20, 21, 23 and 30 that will boost you lvling alot, from there it's most about upgrading what you already have.

Also notice that movement speed on your boots is really nice to have to be able to get out of the way, apart from movement speed and experience there are no stats that matters.
You will not have to attack once during the lvling and hopefully you wont have to take a hit to many times either.

Ok, enough babling about that, here is how you do it.

Your lvl 60 starts the game in ACT 3 last quest "Kill Azmodan" and sets the Monster Power lvl to 10 (Normal Difficulty)
Take the waypoint to "The Keep Depths Level 3"
Run through it as fast as possible killing everything in your way and make your way all the way through the keep until you get to the Bastion Keep or just use Town Portal when there is nothing left in Level 1.
Leave game and start the quest and repeat the same thing again.
When you hit lvl 25, go and kill Diablo, then change the difficulty to Nightmare MP10.
When you hit lvl 45, kill Diablo and change to Hell MP10.

Notes:
Stop for nothing, dont open chests, don't stop to pick up gold and don't stop to pick up items even if it's tempting it will only slow you down since were doing this to lvl as fast as possible :-)
Hell MP10 is something like Inferno MP1 in terms of difficulty so if this is to tough for the lvl 60 to handle just lower the MP, it will take a longer time thou since you get less xp.
If you are playing with a friend this is super easy, just stay behind him and try not to get hit, but be sure to always keep him in your view, if you do not see him you do not get any xp.
Don't forget to upgrade your experience gear when you lvl.

In my opinion the slowest bit's in this method is from lvl 7 to 15 and from lvl 50 to 60.
You will fly through lvl 15 to 50.

Hope this helps.
