D3Prefs not saving character slot info

I just reformatted (this was working pre reformat). My account info/Graphics/sound settings (everything) is default every time I load up my characters. Anyone know what this could mean? Yes every character is setup properly with it's virtual files they all say D3Prefs-"name" ect. Help would be greatly appriciated !

From troubleshooting this, it appears D3 is requesting the file correctly, Inner Space is creating the virtual file correctly, but D3 isn't saving back to the file. This may be one for you to take a look at Lax.

Essentially, when reformatting and reinstalling everything, and setting up a new team in ISBoxer on a clean windows install, the virtual files get created on game launch (bypassing launcher) but no settings (account info, resolution, gfx settings) actually get saved.

We tried deleting the virtual files and relaunching the set, with the same results. both Inner Space and ISBoxer up to date.

This is caused by a missing D3Prefs.txt file in Documents\Diablo III.

If you already have virtual files in this location, simply copy one of your virtual files, and rename it to "D3Prefs.txt". Diablo III will then be able to read your virtual files properly without overwriting them on every launch.
