Because Blizzard blocked the follow command, in Battlegrounds, back in patch 5.2.

I suspect you mean "question" and not "doubt", which has a different primary meaning, even if your usage may be technically correct.

Follow and Assist are normally handled via the ISBoxer Addon. As this does not work on early versions of WoW (i.e. 1.12, also known as Vanilla), then you need to use a different setup for these functions.

The most common one, which is applicable to pretty much all MMO's is the Select Party Member using the Function keys (F1, F2, F3, F4, etc), and then press the Follow hotkey.
In ISBoxer, this is the "Target current Slot, Follow/Assist Target" option in the MMO Party Mechanics box of the Quick Setup Wizard.

Which you'll then want to make sure the highlighted parts are filled in.
