Press key for more than 1 second = screen freezes

Hi, I've got a powerful computer so it's not a hardware issue. It's probably some setting somewhere but what happens is if I use a key to move my active screen eg. WASD keys, if i hold them down, after 1 second the screen freezes on the active window. If i press for 0.9 of a second, release, then 0.9 of a second again I can move with no lag. Obviously that is not the way I want to play WoW so does anyone know what is causing the active screen to freeze like this? the problem persists with keymap on or off. Broadcast is off.

Hi. This is unrelated to your ISBoxer config, you can't configure something that makes it freeze.

Have you checked for video driver updates? Sound drivers could also be an issue. But normally when there's a stop-start-stop-start sort of thing while moving I'd say it might be related to CPU throttling. ISBoxer didn't pop up a box warning you that your CPU is throttled, did it? I like it when people ignore that and then ask why things perform funny

There was no warning about CPU throttling but I'll look into it. After I restarted ISBoxer a few times the problem disappeared. I think what might have happened is I had 4 wow windows running on Ultra when I'm sure I put them all on low detail but I remember putting them on low detail and it still froze. However that problem seems to have gone.

On the other hand I have found some things with ISBoxer which still occur, one which is similar with the lag:

1) Active window lags if I use movement keys and right-mouse button to move

2) When logging in, if the number 1 is included in the password the whole line is blanked for the non-active windows (other instances of wow).

3)( I included the wrong character and wondered why ALT+F wasn't making the other characters follow this particular character, realised he wasn't in the character list)
If I want to make an adjustment to the characters I have to restart ISBoxer and all WoW windows.

Is this outside of major cities? Every major expansion increases system requirements, simply walking through Orgrimmar with 4 characters will cause some choppiness that you generally wont experience in the levelling areas

no. it was in a cave instance with 4 instaces of wow running.

intel Core i7 950 3.07ghz
10gb RAM
64bit Vista OS
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 460

I don't think it's related to hardware unless ISBoxer doesn't like 64bit but I don't think that's a problem. I'm sure it's some small setting somewhere that I need to enable/disable
