FPS low 5 accounts

Hi all can anyone help with my low FPS problem. Each instance of wow runs at 4 FPS and is unplayable. It only seems like this happens when I run them in windowed mode which is desired.

I have tried the following:
Updated Video drivers
Updated Sound drivers
Updated chipset drivers
I tried setting the background instances to 10 FPS. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am only using one monitor with this setup.

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64Bit
My hardware is the following
Processor: I7 960
Memory: 12GB Triple Channel 1600MHz DDR3
Video: ATI Radeon HD 5970
Sound: Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium

Re: FPS low 5 accounts

Are you using X-Fire chat software? If so, shut that off or disable its in-game features and your FPS will return to normal.

Otherwise, try lowering the graphics settings in the game. Personally, I set WoW on low settings and bump the View Distance to "Good".

If you're already on low settings, haven't told ISBoxer to keep your antialiasing set higher than 1x if it complained about it, don't get a box when you launch ISBoxer saying your CPU is throttled, you're not running another program that happens to drop the FPS like a rock, and you're only getting 4 FPS then the only other thing that comes to mind is the CPU core selection per slot in your Character Set. On my i7 I have my 5 set to the following cores via ISBoxer (and this is my recommendation):
1,2
3,4
5,6
7,8
5,7

That's about all that comes to mind

No Xfire running not installed

It seems when innerspace launches the wows instances is when I have the problem. If I use the regular wow icon the game plays fine without issues I loaded all 5 accounts in window mode. Any ideas as to why this would make a difference. BTW thanks for the quick response!

Re: FPS low 5 accounts

I'm unclear as to what else from my post you have tried...

But to answer... and for the most part this follows right along with my previous post.
1. It might be different with Inner Space because other programs might be incompatible with it -- for example if you use X-Fire software's in-game features, your FPS will drop as you've described.
2. It might be different because ISBoxer is changing the CPU affinity according to your Character Set slots.
3. It might be different because it's using a different Config.WTF file with different settings from the original.
4. If you're shrinking the WoW window when you're launching 5 outside of IS, that would also throw off the comparison because the resolution is different. (But this wouldn't cause 4 FPS on your PC)

Re: FPS low 5 accounts

I forgot to mention in the first post that I also see artifacts all over the screen while each wow is loaded when I use isboxer.

Ok tried to set the settings you recommended
Each character set cores
1,2
3,4
5,6
7,8
5,7

Also lowered the graphics to low Sunshafts off View distance to good then exported settings via isboxer to inner space. Then I launched the character set via isboxer. I still get these wierd artifacts which sometimes crash my pc with a blue screen of death but if it does load the wow's I still get 4 to 5 fps.

What I dont understand is if I just launch wow the with the default icon I get no issues with artifacts and they all run at about 30 FPS untill I start swicthing between wows then it will begin to lower the FPS to 4 or 5

I did install the latest isboxer suite this morning so it is a fresh setup using the wizard.

Maybe the video card is dying? This is a new alienware pc so maybe its fd up!

Re: FPS low 5 accounts

If you get artifacts and BSODs there is definitely a driver or hardware issue. If it's the driver, it could potentially be solved by trying a different driver (If you've got the newest, try an older version maybe?). It could very well be hardware.

Something else you can try with WoW is to switch to DirectX 11 mode, and this might help. Check out this post for instructions and other information on how to do that: http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=774
