One of my windows keeps crashing

I just started boxing again after a break. I'm boxing two toons and one keeps crashing after a few minutes of play. It isn't always the same window.

I didn't have any crashing when testing keymaps and macros with just one window open.

Here's the error message:

Here's the diagnostic report:

Re: One of my windows keeps crashing

Error 132 is a standard WoW error number that can occur for many reasons. The number in the bracket has some relevance.
ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception! Seems to be a graphics crash or in their words "possible issue with DX11", although it happens on dx9 too.

The answer that seems to have alleviated the problem the most is:
  1. Go into the World of Warcraft folder.
  2. Rename the WTF folder to WTF.old
  3. Rename the Cache folder to Cache.old
  4. Rename the Interface folder to Interface.old

That would be the place to start.
The other frequent occurrences seem to be more related to NVidia drivers on Win10, which does not appear to be you.

There is not much in the diagnostic that you should shutdown, remove, update. You could try shutting down a couple of apps; only the Netbalancer one seems like a candidate, but you never know. If any of your other apps has an overlay that is running, shut that down.

Is your PC overclocked? If so, then perhaps it is not a stable o/c.

WoW should be pushing out a crash report (World of Warcraft/Errors ), so if you continue to get errors, then dig that out.

Thanks.

That is a painful solution. I would lose many hours of addon configuration. But I can't box when it keeps crashing, so I guess I'll have to try that.

I don't have any crashing when I play one window without ISB.

Are you saying to post the crash report here?

Re: One of my windows keeps crashing

Did that work?

Obviously if it did you can copy back addons and savedvariables methodically into the configuration to recover your hours.

Re: One of my windows keeps crashing

It did work. Followed the instructions but if I was doing it again would first see if new Cache and Interface folders solved the problem before doing WTF.
