2-Team; one toon stuck attacking; + solution
Hi,
this threw me a bit, so to capture the problem and solution jic anyone else inflicts this on themselves...
New team of 2 created.
Brewmaster Monk, of which I've had several with great success;
and an Arcane Mage which was a brand new setup.
Using the pro method; and hence a new keymap for an Arcane Mage.
The team would work, some of the time, and then the monk would basically get stuck attacking - apparently doing AOE attacks.
If you pressed enter - to open a /say chat box - I'd see the numbers used for my 3 BM AOE macro's being repeatedly spammed (ctrl-alt-shift 6, 7 & 8) in the chat window.
I'd be hands off the keyboard at this point.
* tried blowing away the monk's character definition, no joy.
* realised that it was only the AOE attacks, so looked at both the Monks, and then the Mage's Key Maps.
* I'd only setup Single Target macros for Arcane Mages at this point.
tada, I'd inadvertently copied the Arcane Mage keymap from the "Combat Hotkeys" and not the "Virtual Combat".
I assume I'd managed to create some sort of loop, and bam. Stuck attacking in AOE.
Solution, remove all the Combat Hotkey steps from the Arcane mage keymap; and the problem appears to have gone away!
Cheers!
