ISBoxer macro to actionbarbutton?

Hey guys,

Simple question, is there any way to assign an ISBoxer macro directly to an actionbarbutton?

Re: ISBoxer macro to actionbarbutton?

I'm not 100% if I'm going to answer this correctly because I don't entirely understand what's being asked, but...

1) ISBoxer stores its macros in the add-on which doesn't have any sort of interface inside of the game client, so you can't put an ISBoxer macro onto the action bar.

2) You can create a macro in ISBoxer to /click ActionBar1Button1 or something similar.

3) You can send a key that executes a macro on an action bar.

I hope one of the above answered the question.

MiRai beat me to it. Submitting my typed-out post anyway!

I'm not entirely clear on what you mean to ask, but I think the answer is no?

I think you want to activate a WoW Macro made in ISBoxer from an actual WoW Action Bar button, like you can do with in-game macros by dragging. To this the answer is no there is nothing to drag to an Action Bar; this is the same with macros made by other Addons.

However, you CAN create a macro through the in-game macro interface, which does /click <something>. You can decide what that <something> is and put it in the /click name box in the ISBoxer Toolkit. For example, give it "MyISBoxerMacro" as the /click name in ISBoxer, and then you can enter in "/click MyISBoxerMacro" to activate it. This is not "directly" as it takes a middle-man you have to make yourself, but this is as close as you'll get :)

Re: ISBoxer macro to actionbarbutton?

Thanks for the quick responses. For not entirely understanding my question you both got it quite well.

The reason I'm asking is because I would like to use ISBoxer to manage my macro's but I still want to see the corresponding icon on my actionbar, and I want them to react to modifiers being pressed or the state of the character changing (e.g. stealth vs. no stealth). I could probably get it to work by making small ingame macro's with the #show command to get the correct icon behavior and a /click action to have it do something, bit of extra work but doable. Or am I missing something and there's an easier way to achieve this.
