Keymap vs Broadcast and possible alternative setting?

I have a simple 2 character team. Trying to use a Nostromo Gamepad to broadcast Hotkey Keystrokes only and Always on. Basically want both toons to simultaneously cast with single keystrokes. Problem is the only way it works is if I toggle broadcasting on and press keys. Is there a way to have the keystrokes broadcast, but not mouse clicks and movement?

Also my toggles went haywire and I don't know what I did to cause it. Broadcasting only turns on if I hold my cursor down on the toggle. How do I put it back the way it was?

Re: Keymap vs Broadcast and possible alternative setting?

You should have toggles for Keymaps and for Broadcasting.
Which can be independently toggled.

It will depend on which Mapped Keys are configured, within your Keymaps.
Keymaps are generally broken down into two categories for most games.
Control/Always-On are things like swapping clients (or bringing that stacked window to the front) and toggling your modes on and off.
Warcraft has FTL DPS Keys and General.
I'd put your desired keymaps into those two.

That way, you can toggle Keymaps on and off, for when you want to push whatever key and have it only go to the one client.
Also, when you're entering your username/password, the mapped key isn't going to replace whatever you're trying to type (because you can disable, or turn off, Key Maps).

Hmm... I want the keys to be on almost permanently, but not the mouse. But I'll try putting the mapped keys in one of the other categories.

Share your configuration and give specific details about the problem.

I split Keyboard Repeating from Mouse Repeating, in my guide.
It's a bit on the old side, but is a permanent guide in the guide section.
It is also hosted on www.dual-boxing.com

You can definitely split mouse and keyboard broadcasting.

Keymaps (or groups of mapped keys) are different.

If you only want specific keys to broadcast...
It might be easiest to have them as your mapped keys.
And to not have other mapped keys (aside from those in Control/Always-On, which allow you to enable/disable broadcasting/keymaps etc).
That way, you enable Keymaps and your keys broadcast.

The default is usually.
Hotkey: 1
Actions:
a) Slave windows assist main window; then
b) All windows receive 1.

Re: Keymap vs Broadcast and possible alternative setting?

I use a WoW Cata mouse, a Logitech G510 keyboard and a Razar Tartarus gamepad.

The WoW mouse buttons generate keystrokes which can be bound as required. I have the same configuration for all characters so that the same mouse button targets the nearest enemy, another one buffs and another one executes the /castsequence attack macro, which I locate on my right hand action bar. I've added each of these mouse generated keystrokes into the General keymap so that they're broadcast when keymaps are toggled on.

On my bottom action bar (1 to =) I have the abilities on cooldown that I can activate during combat. I was using my keyboard for that but I'm left handed, so I use my mouse in my left hand. The Logitech programmable keys are on the left hand side of the keyboard, and it's awkward for me to use them. That's where the Tartarus comes in.

The default Tartarus keymap is only good for movement and I don't use it. I set up a second map with the Synapse software that assigns 1 through = to the first 12 keys. These are already broadcast by default so you don't need to configure anything differently in ISBoxer.

So all you need to do is create a new 1 through = keyboard function button assignment for the Nostromo and ISBoxer will automatically broadcast them.
