Been suspended several times this past week

I have been suspended (3 hours) several times this past week for battleground activity on several accounts.

I have submitted tickets each time and each time I get a response that goes to WoW TOS and Policies.

Which was really no answer at all. So I moved on to phone support and after calling a few different times I finally got one guy to give me an answer to what he thinks the problem was.

Evidently blizzard has implemented software that monitors how toons move and your activity. If they are on follow and they meet a certain threshold number they are automatically flagged. Then if you combine that with players reporting you as a bot the system (aka software) will automatically give your account a 3 hour suspension.

Now I am not the best player around, nor am I the worst. My BG performance is usually high in the numbers so my activity is fairly high.
I use ISBOXER to automatically follow the toon I am on when I switch windows. I don't use jamba follow. I also press the "C" key to make my slave toons follow me.

Has anyone else had problems lately with 3 hour suspensions for battleground activity?

Re: Been suspended several times this past week

I've been following this thread - the reason I posted here was because the guy on the phone said it might be the software I am using may be causing the WoW software to flag me. Something to do with how I make my other toons follow.

This was the ticket response from blizzard just a little while ago. I am curious to know what behavior they are talking about. And are they saying that multiboxing will eventually get my accounts banned?

Greetings,

After further review, the penalty has been overturned. Please understand that certain behaviors, while not directly in violation, will be classified as bot-like behavior. Should penalties continue to be applied, it will be increasingly more difficult to justify overturning them.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope we have addressed any concerns you may have had. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance to you.

As a reminder, only the Account Administration department can address disputes or questions about this account action. To learn more about how we are able to assist you, please visit us at http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/21505.

They're vague on purpose, you know. ;)

Are you attaching Interact with Target to your attacks? The less you use it, the less bot-like you might appear... I don't know who you talked to, but the guy on the phone could just be a random CSR, they don't have the best information either.

And are they saying that multiboxing will eventually get my accounts banned?

I think they're saying that you might keep getting 3 hour suspensions for what you're doing in battlegrounds. But no, I would not say that they're "saying that multiboxing will eventually get my accounts banned"...

Yes, it's very frustrating.

My interact with target is a different key all together. I do mash the target my target button a lot.

I think they're saying that you might keep getting 3 hour suspensions for what you're doing in battlegrounds.

If that were the case - and I think you are right - why would I keep playing and paying? I wish they would tell me the problem specifically, I would like to fix it.

Re: Been suspended several times this past week

I just received a 3 day ban on my 5th AV of the night. It happened on just one account.

This is my 7th suspension in 3 days. I have not changed any settings in over a few weeks, so the bans popping up has to be a blizzard issue.

I have tried talking to them for each suspension, via the ticket system and by phone but can't get them to give me a straight answer on exactly what I am doing that is triggering the system to ban me.

Anyways, I'm done. Good luck to you all.

Re: Been suspended several times this past week

The thing I've noticed when I post a ticket is, these people are not what you visualize when you think Game Master. They are like every other customer support, trained to push this button for that problem, a different button for a different problem, and you wind up receiving a preconfigured form letter that looks like they really took the time to address your issue, when really, they didn't. Until you press the issue and make it through their first line of defensive idiocy, you won't be dealing with anyone who has an answer, or has even played the game. Their goal is to either give you enough hope to drop it or cause you to feel it's hopeless to even press the issue. Eventually, you'll get passed to someone who does know the rules, and that's when you'll get the real answer and what to do about the problem. So, just keep bugging the crap out of them til they give up and pass you to a real Game Master  Good Luck, you're fighting for all of us.

Re: Been suspended several times this past week

Same exact thing happened to me. Maybe they are banning multiboxing without saying so. I replied twice to my ban notice and they would not give me an answer. They would only say that they took appropriate action and would no longer reply to me on the issue. I still have no idea what I did. I cancelled all of my accounts. I use to really love boxing WoW and especially AV but they have made it very difficult to play. I also think it's bs that they take my money and don't allow me to play during one of the few times I want to play. AV weekend.

Re: Been suspended several times this past week

This is the response I received a couple of days ago. Needless to say, when I received my 8th ban in 3 days... The last one being a 3 day ban I decided then that I was going to shut down my accounts. They didn't answer my ticket until afterwords. But my position still stands. Until I can play and enjoy the game without being penalized as a boxer then my accounts will stay off. I've been playing since 2006, so I needed to move onto a different game anyways. Don't get me wrong. I love playing WoW, but until they fix it so that I can enjoy every aspect of the game that everyone else does (as a multi boxer) then I won't be sending them my money. We'll see what happens in the future.

"I am very sorry for an inconveniences in regards to our Actioning System suspending and locking your World of Warcraft accounts. We are not able to grant our information on the details of the actions other than that the accounts were reported for AFK for a large amount of times which caused our system to check it. While it has parameters to prevent legitimate players from being actioned, there are false positives.

I have removed all suspensions and marks on the accounts that were hit and all former hits, however I cannot prevent future actions. I have sent the data to our Development Team to fine tune the Actioning System, but while they are doing that, false positives may still occur.
