newbie problems with stop autofollow

I use the FTL Follow me in General Mapped key to switch ON follow. It works perfect also when i switch through my toons (3 chars) :P

I want to stop the toons with a key wich is in my opinion a function thats is normally always needed (more the dancing together .... ;-) )

What i did:
I copied the ftl Follow me (under General / Mapped Keys ) and set to this new entry the hot key to "x" .
Then under Step 1 i put in a "s" for step backword in the Key combination (and delete the /follow {FTL} in the macro Commands from the old Follow me entry.
In WOW i delete in all 3 charsessions the keysettings with x (normaly for sit) so "x" is not longer used in wow

For my understanding it should work but it did
and the "s" key now dont works in WoW

what is my failure ?

thanking you in anticipation

Re: newbie problems with stop autofollow

It sounds like you went about this wrong :)

Delete your mapped key, and make a new one (not copied). You want your new mapped key to send a keystroke to turn left or right. (this will stop you without breaking any spellcasting)
Start by setting the Hotkey. X is fine.
Enable the Hold option
Now go into Step 1 and right click Actions, and select New Keystroke Action
Set the Target of this Action to Window: All w/o Current (aka "all other")
Set the Keystroke of this Action to your key to turn left or right (e.g. with WASD, either A or D)
Export

done
:)
