I'm a pretty new user, but before the last patch I had 5 windows going at 60fps or so. Now I can barely play with 15-20 fps. Is there something that I could change? I turned down most of the in game graphics setting to see if that would help, but nothing seems to! Please help!
Re: FPS after 5.04 way down
Are you running addons that are out-of-date? The addon API was changed with this major patch (as it does with every expansion), and simply checking the "load out of date addons" box doesn't fix things that are really broken.
You don't mention if you're actually running addons or not so I'm guessing this might be the problem.

I'm running a few, but I think most of them are updated. I guess I'll try disabling them

I checked and all of the addons have been updated to 5.04
Re: FPS after 5.04 way down
Have you glanced over at the WoW Tech Support forum? There seem to be numerous people with FPS issues since the patch. Problems are expected with any type of content patch, especially an expansion patch.

I'm sorry I don't have any other suggestions for a possible.

Re: FPS after 5.04 way down
There are reports that swapping from DX9 to DX11 or vice versa might help fix FPS issues.
Re: FPS after 5.04 way down
Thanks a lot! I'll try switching my DX settings after work.
Re: FPS after 5.04 way down
Yeah their dx11 base is so laggy it's not even funny, i went back to 9 and getting well over 60+ frames. So if I were anyone facing these issues of FPS loss, I recommend only keeping Jamba updated to the new current build of beta2 and disabling all the rest of the addons unless you know they are fully updated to match and not throw errors.
